‘Ol Trent got a severe kick in the crotch several years ago, and would say anything he thought “the polls” indicated so he could regain his lost senate leadership role. Not smart. That probably requires very careful wording to get that type of response. Something along the lines of "would you be willing to accept a plan that would allow some immigrants to stay here if the border were completely secured, complete background checks were done on the immigrants and they had to pay thousands of dollars of fines?" Look for an undefined number (some) instead of 12-20 million, confusion over immigrants vs. illegal aliens, and a big assumption that the border would be closed.
