I got a call a couple of days ago from the Republican Senate committee and told them to get lost. I don’t know why they called, because I donate to particular politicians, not to the RNC or whatever the senate support group is called.
They're resorting to cold-calling registered Republicans, because the house file isn't performing.
They probably added you to their call list when I told them to put me on their do-not-call list. But that was a mistake. I told them to call one of their constituents in Mexico.
I wonder what those soliciting for Democrats are hearing?
That is exactly what we do, donate to candidates not to the RNC. I have not been blunt enough with the RNC about the illegals problem but next time they call (which should be in the next 15 minutes, I will be).
Me too. I even told them I would be contacting my bank to have my prior donation refunded, citing product fraud (selling conservatism and delivering liberalism).
I got a call two days ago to renew my Repub membership. Told the girl I was past angry about this amnesty bill and the Senate and President’s position. Told her I would contribute to my two AL senators who both oppose it and my Rep. who also opposes it, but would not give any more money to a national Repub orgn because it might be used to try to reelect people I could not support.
Hey—I really, really mean it. They can lose my phone number.

If you donate to a candidate, whatever party s/he belongs to thinks you're a likely mark and will start calling/writing. I donated some big money to my Congressbeing once and ever since I've been getting invites to meet with everyone from the governor to God himself, as long as I bring my checkbook.
They completely understood when I told them I now give to individual conservatives...I would give again to the party when the party AS A WHOLE moved to the right a bit more. :)
