There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call "amnesty" for illegal aliens. "Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," said the former employee.

Believe me... I do quite a lot to defeat liberals, of all brands. Hillary is but one of a large bunch.
But when those liberals slither into my house, be assured they’re the first ones I want to be rid of.
I’d rather fight my enemy head-on than have “my own” stab me in the back.

IMO, the only way for the Republicans to win is to field a conservative. The best way to lose is to field a RINO. Exactly right. This "better than Hillary" mantra ain't good enough. Folks deserve something to vote FOR!

Well, if it means doing something to stop Hillorat from becoming President, count me a PROUD IDIOT. With that logic, you'd be happy to support John Edwards and Obama, too. Not surprising.

Exactly! Considering how warm Bush is to both Clintons at every occasion and how he enables a proven enemy to this country - Ted Kennedy - I for one have finally seen the light. Bush is a far greatest threat to Conservatism than any Leftie. He is the Judas goat that, with this Amnesty bill, will destroy Conservatism in this country now and will destroy the entire country within a decade.

There have been several threads posted on Free Republic in fact saying just that. In fact, some freepers think it’s time we face ‘political realities’ and turn our sights to what is important ie getting Republicans elected. I’ll see if I can find one for you.

Actually, the Republicans replaced the Whig party which was on the wrong side of the slavery issue...as the Republican party is on the wrong side of immigration.

I never though I’d be saying it! But, if he gets this Amnesty passed NO Republican has a chance in 2008.

When the enemy infiltrates your own political camp, they can accomplish things the outsiders could never have done. When you start to see signs, you remain silent in an effort to remain supportive. When you quietly question things, you are then told to "just wait" that there is a bigger plan you just aren't aware of to ultimately defeat the "enemy." You are told to "hush" and obediently obey. When it gets worse and your objections grow louder, the infiltrators make the cry for "unity." Again, you try to remain supportive. All the while, the enemy works to destroy you from within. To add insult to injury, all the while, the infiltrator proposes and supports things in
your name, calling the result "a compromise," or "bi-partisanship," when it is nothing but capitulation or surrender to the enemy.
Ain't life grand? ;-)

Here is a link to one of the articles I refer to about Iraq. I was furious because if it was worth going there in the first place. It is worth finishing the job-assuming these Repubs in the administration have the stomach for it.

Im one of those former donors that told the solicitor a couple of weeks ago that they would not get another dime from me if that amnesty bill passed. And of course, the RNC decided to fire the messengers.

I have been wondering the same and remembering the 800 FBI files Hillary stole It's time for these jerks to "man up" and own up to whatever is in their FBI files. Their behavior on this shamnesty bill is going to end up killing the United States of America as we currently know it and from the sentiment on this board, they'll end up losing their jobs anyway. So, they need to just eliminate this bill from the equation and await the fall-out (black-mail, distressed spouse, embarrassed family, whatever).

I limited my political prediction to 2008 because I believe this Amnesty will so irretrievably change this country that after 2008, political change will be the lease significant change we face.
