I went to hear Sen Lamar Alexander today..
He spoke of everything BUT the Amnesty Bill..and didnt take questions...
We were invited to ask him questions later..
I asked him who was going to do the health screenings?
He was surprised and said that had not been mentioned..he would have to get back to me on that...
He started to list all the other “triggers”..even ones that had been in amendments that were nixed..
I had to bring him back to my question..
I said, “I’m a REAL immigrant and BEFORE I came to the US I had to have an x-ray, blood tests, medical exam, health screen, shots, criminal background checks, fill out many forms etc and pay for them all myself. What about the illegal aliens? Are they going to have complete health screenings and who is going to do that?”
He said again he had not thought about that but he would find out and would make sure his office got back to me..
He said he answered every query on the “immigration” issue..so I mentioned that my Emails had never been answered..
After decades of bveing nice to my local politicians, I hate to be firm and insistant but we do deserve answers to issues which will effect us in the future..
Personally to be told that is something my senator and the other senators have not thought of or discussed is to be treated like an annoying child..
I am not so easily dismissed and dont you be either...this is not a time to be weary..
