McCain challenges rivals on immigration (AGAIN!)

CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain is challenging critics of a proposed immigration overhaul plan to provide a better alternative.

The Arizona senator criticized his leading rivals, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, when a reporter asked him about their opposition to a Senate compromise brokered earlier this month.

McCain says anyone who doesn't like the plan should offer their own idea.

The plan before Congress includes tougher security, guest workers and a path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.

McCain says the US can't afford to continue to allow an estimated 12 million people to live in the country illegally.

It appears the members of the US Senate have their own definitions for words.

For starters complete the Congressionally authorized 600 miles or more of border fence, make English mandatory, no welfare benies for illegals only co pays at the health dept.

Deport illegals who committ serial DWI offenses, no more anchor babies.

That would be a great start.

Si Juan, we have a better alternative.

We'll secure the borders; We'll take citizenship off the table; and You can move to Mexico.

How's that for a better alternative?

"Republican presidential candidate John McCain is challenging critics of a proposed immigration overhaul plan to provide a better alternative."

Surely he has to know his political career is over.

McCain says the US can't afford to continue to allow an estimated 12 million people to live in the country illegally.

So, let's give them all amnesty. Pay lip service to doing something about the border and then let another 12-20 million come in illegally.

McCain says anyone who doesn't like the plan should offer their own idea.

Oh John, you're such a twit. No way I can claim the following idea as "mine." Ready?

Vigorous, assertive enforcement of existing laws.

McCain says the US can't afford to continue to allow an estimated 12 million people to live in the country illegally.

We put a man on the moon, John, surely we can deport a measly 12 million people. Identifying them will be a little tough without "profiling." But we can get it done. The biggest problem is motivation.

McCain has become irrelevant in the Presidential race.
When Fred announces McCain will slide in 4th place.
If he has to face Fred in a debate..his immigration platform will be left in shreds.
Rudy can only be a factor with cross over votes in the Primaries..that really leaves Romney and Fred as the horse race. I prefer Fred,,the others are going to have to pick up some more recognition..otherwise they are toast.

McCain says the U.S. can’t afford to allow 12 million illegals to remain here illegally...................?

So to make the 12 million legal solves the problem? Then we can “afford” it? What about the next 12 million and the next 50 million after that? Just make them all legal and then we can afford to keep them here. Problem solved.

All joking aside, this man is a nasty fool who thinks we are the fools.
Glad his political life is about to end!

Ironically, the wound that ends his political life will be self-inflicted.

You got it! Once the toilet flushes, there will only be two boats left in the tidy bowl. Captain Romney will battle Captain Thompson in the semi-finals. The only real threat to this outcome will be if McCain holds on to enough support to prevent one of these skippers from defeating Rudy the Pirate. However, McCain’s numbers have steadily declined since the announcement of McAmnesty and should continue to do so.

Did you ever wonder where we find the “quality” congresscritters we seem to be stuck with. I mean loathsome, dirtbag types like McCain, Hagel, Spectator, Lott, Frist, Voinovich .. the list goes on and on.

McCain is a John Kerry with a “R” behind his name. A brilliant man ... a successful man (sarcasm) ... Like Kerry, he married into wealth.

He voted against the tax cuts yet claimns his economics will prevaile. He prides himself as a “maverick” although in reality he is just a media whore. He is the only person I know that can beat Chucky Schumer to a microphone.

McCain like the rest of the above maggots care about one thing only .. the power base they establish for self.

Look at the list once more. There isn’t enough IQ amongst them to jumpstart a moron. Gubmint is the only place they can find a place.

McCain says the US can't afford to continue to allow an estimated 12 million people to live in the country illegally.

And we can't ship them back to country of origin. So McCain proposes to wave a magic wand and at the penning of a presidential signature put them all on the path to being regularized by giving them immediate legal status.

Then, we can start a whole new collection of new illegals for the next amnesty around year 2012.

===

The Washington pols have shown they are inept on the subject of border security and illegals.

Yet, they are selling another big lie, just like they did 40 years ago, and 20 years ago, and 10 years ago. Each of those previous bill claimed to be the solution -- by legalizing millions of illegals. Each of those turned out to be failures, requiring another bill a few years later.

This current monstrosity will do exactly the same, only in multiples over the previous bill. It will give legal status to 12-20 million illegals as soon as it is signed, whether they ever apply for the Z-VISA. And that legal status is amnesty. No matter how the pols try to spin it, it is amnesty when illegals are given status that prohibits their being deported. The so-called fine only occurs if they later decide to actually apply for the Z-VISA.

It is a shellgame. The pro-amnesty, pro-open-borders pols are trying to hoodwink the American public.

Immigration “reform” should begin with the enforcement of existing laws.

McCain-Feingold was supposed to “reform” campaign financing after the Clintonistas took money from Communist China. It too was a substitute for enforcing the existing laws.
