August 26, 2005:
Here is the official Freep report for this date. and in this photo from that thread, John Bruhns is front and center, holding the Stars and Stripes:
Here is Freeper Plea Deal's report and photos. Blogger Tantor also has a report, here. Freeper Tom the Redhunter has his blog report here. Andi of Andi's World wrote a report on her blog here. And here is another photo of Bruhns (far right) with the Pinkos:
September 2, 2005:
On this date, John Bruhns is spotted (for the second week in a row) with the Code Pinkos and Veterans For Peace, outside the main gate at WRAMC. Here is Freeper Plea Deal's blog report. And here is a photo of Bruhns holding up one end of the VFP banner. (Enlarge the image on your computer... yep, he's the one holding it.)
Our official Freep Report for this night now is missing BillF's photos due to a loss of files on his website, but you can read the report anyway. And hopefully one day he can recover all the photos
Here are three more photos of Bruhns with the Pinkos on September 2, 2005:
September 9, 2005:
You can read the Freep report for this night here; but again the image links are dead.
Because of the loss (online) of BillF and bmwcyle's photos, it is not known if Bruhns was with the Pinkos on this date. Hopefully BillF and bmw will look over their photo files and see if they can clarify...
September 16, 2005:
On this date, this "same night" thread documents Bruhns' attempts to start a fight with Freepers. On his third week (verified via photo searches on various sources) with the Code Pinkos' WRAMC protest, Bruhns stormed across the street, from the Code Pinko side of the street and started spewing profanities at bmwcyle and others (caught on audio tape by a Freeper):
Then he made a big show of pulling up his sleeve:
September 16, 2005 official AAR thread, posted 9/21/05.
Freeper Plea Deal blogged about the Freep, and she also has a photo of Bruhns that night, at the WRAMC main gate.
Blogger Andi, of Andi's World also wrote a report about this week's (9/16/05) Freep of the Code Pinko "vigil." Most noteworthy as regards Bruhns' present claim that he thought the Pinkos were protesting the BRAC decision to close WRAMC, is Andi's photo of the "Quiet Zone" sign on one Pinko corner, while singing and "whooping it up" by Pinkos on the other corner.
Also, Freeper Tom the Redhunter wrote a report on his blog about this night's Freep. On his report, he also has a photo of Bruhns with the Pinkos (although the date stamp is off by one day):
September 23, 2005:
September 23rd was a big weekend for the radical left in DC. On Sunday they would be marching against the war, our troops and our president. Here's a photo of Bruhns at the Walter Reed main gate that night, for his fourth week standing with the Pinkos:
Here's another banner that was out on this night while Bruhns was there:
I know it's very dark, so I lightened the image a little so that you can read the message better:
Freeper Plea Deal also has a photo of that banner on her blog report about that evening.
Now, that is four different occasions that Freepers and bloggers have documented John Bruhns' participation in Code Pink's protests at Walter Reed. Didn't Bruhns say in his email to Jim Robinson that he was only a participant twice?
Maybe he just didn't recall attending the Pinko protest for four weeks?
And then to muddy the issue further, on Memorial Day, May 28, 2007, Bruhns appeared on CSPAN's Washington Journal and claimed that he had only been there one time!
Good Golly Miss Molly! How does that old saying go... "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to..."?
In his own words "I took Cindy Sheehan to Walter Reed last Friday night. She and I went in and delivered a get well card to the troops. She was welcomed with open arms. It was really nice. After we left the mob scene across the street began to scream the most awful things at her. We left quick though. I drove her to the airport right after we left Walter Reed."
I know I already posted this link above, but I thought it was worth repeating.
Note: Save this file. Newsworthy stuff like this has a funny way of getting "disappeared."
Thanks!
I guess I’m dumber than a fence post, but who is this guy and why is it important? I missed something somewhere (imagine that—LOL!)
Why do we care about this particular blockhead? Kinda crummy/lazy effort to explain to those of us not in the know.
Who is this person? What makes him differant from the other wacko’s who protest at Walter Reed?
Two years ago Bruhns was hanging out with the radicals, but recently he's been "cleansing" his history with them.
Now he's speaking out on behalf of "Vote Vets" and is trying to clean up his act for that. The most recent photo op I saw him in was with Nancy Lugosi and Dingy Harry Reid.
Kind of reminds me of John Effin' Kerry back in his "Jenjiss Khan" testimony days, only to resurrect himself as a patriot Senator/Presidential candidate.
Who is John Bruhns and why should I be concerned? I understand the Code Pinko thing but why is Bruhns singled out? Is he just another socialist troublemaker?
Founded and supported by Veterans, VoteVets.org PAC views defense policy as an American priority. The goal of the VoteVets.org PAC is to put Iraq and Afghanistan War Veterans in Congress who are critical of the execution of the war in Iraq and representative of the principles of VoteVets.org PAC in the US Congress by:
* Providing their campaigns with early candidate training, financing, messaging, web and field training from the top professionals in the field
* Fostering policy and message unity regarding U.S. foreign and military policy
* Making direct contributions and independent expenditures to benefit their campaigns
* Ensuring current members of Congress are held accountable for their votes on Iraq and Veterans issues by taking them to task for votes and positions that harm America, and its troops and Veterans.
* Providing the credibility and support of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans community. An attack on an individual is an attack on us all. We are united in supporting our fellow veterans.
Sounds good, doesn't it?
But it's not so good if the kind of vets they highlight are the type who hang out with Marxist groups like Code Pink.
BTW, Harry Reid gave VoteVets.org a $5,000 donation.
See #6, #8 and #10.
Ok, thanks for clearing things up.
Thank you. Now I know. I’ll remember the name.
Thanks!
He is a jerk and doesn’t know truth. I have looked into this little boys eyes. There is nothing behind them. He is a coward and he need to go home to mom where she can take care of him until they find a home for him.
Ping
I have looked into this little boys eyes. There is nothing behind them.

That emptiness even shows through in photos.
John Bruhns was given the privilege of a cspan appearance on Memorial Day. That is why his lies are being exposed today. (A caller from Takoma Park got through who challenged his version of events at WRAMC.)

He is looking for his day in the sun. John is just another John Kerry type.
The difference in the demeanor of the two veterans on C-Span was astounding. This one was slouching, puffily overweight and vacant looking. The other sat up straight, appeared to be strong and fit and spoke forcefully. I didn't know that Mr. anti-Iraq war was lying, but I could have guessed.
