My senator is a major problem in this. I have called his office for his resignation, printed flyers and am thinking of traveling down to Oxford to hand deliver a Mexican flag to his office to adorn his mantle.

Lott is still dumb as a stump.

He needs to put that cowboy hat back on he was sporting a while back when he visited GWB at the Crawford Ranch. That way, he'll not only be dumb, but he'll look the part, too.....

1212. Little cheerleader Trent ain’t worried. I wish it was September and I could hand some flyers out at an Ole Miss game. That might get his attention.

I don’t know what will get their attention.

I tried calling and/or emailing congressmen and senators, but I was brushed off because I was not from their district.

Funny, the fundraising mailings I get come from many different Republican leaders. I guess the communication only goes one way.

None of them exhibit much in the way of brain power.

I perused this thread rather quickly.

My interest was drawn because of the Trent Lott mention.

As far as I am concerned, Trent Lott lost all credibility with me after his inherently racist comments some years ago concerning the Presidential aspirations of one Strom Thurmond.

Lott’s racist position/words were not simply something to be inferred. They were clearly implied.

That man will never be valued by me for his opinion on any matter after that episode.

That is simply the way that I feel about it, and there is no amount of spinning that will change my opinion.

It is men such as Trent Lott that has given so much clout to the Democrat Party in this Nation.

Amen to that. He was a disaster leading the Republicans in the Senate. One of those Republican politicians who would rather get along with the Democrats in the Senate than to stand up for something.

Lott and the rest of the Pro-Amnesty crew in DC need to start packing their bags.

Why don’t they simply pass a guest worker bill, which was their original smokescreen? All the Republicans are looking for is cheap labor.

The city of Maywood in Los Angeles County declared itself a sanctuary zone for illegal aliens this year. Then it got rid of its drunk-driving checkpoints, because they were nabbing too many illegal aliens. Next, this 96 percent Latino city, almost half of whose adult population lacks a ninth-grade education, disbanded its police traffic division entirely, so that illegals wouldn't need to worry about having their cars towed for being unlicensed.'" So once you overlook the fact that they've broken the law, you have to keep exempting them from it when they break other laws, and that's exactly what's happened in this city.

And will this change if they become legal? Will we then allow their cars to be towed, their drunk drivers to be arrested? Will they register their cars and buy auto insurance? Will they get HMO healthcare and stop going to the ER for basic healthcare?

As I asked before, will we begin taxing their wages, deducting FICA, unemployment insurance, etc. to the point where the net less income than when they were being paid cash "in the shadows?"

Where was Trent (Mr. Worse hairpiece ever) Lott when taking a stand as the Senate leader for Republican ideals called for a leader?

That phony false demigod is a fraud and should build homes in Mississippi for Jimmy Carter; A$$hole!

I wondered the same thing, Lott's way to get back good with the media, give away the country for a legacy.
