Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.
The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.
"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."
Clinton said she would reduce special breaks for corporations, eliminate tax incentives for companies that ship jobs overseas and open up CEO pay to greater public scrutiny.
Clinton also said she would help people save more money by expanding and simplifying the earned income tax credit; create new jobs by pursuing energy independence; and ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.

It didn’t take long for some Americans to forget the whole Independence thing that made this country separate from a royal tax and distribution society. The Third Way will take care of all of us. The government will do all the work. And the people will be slaves to government. Hail to Queen Hillary!
I’m wondering if she is eyeing the profits of Tyson Foods, or if Exxon Mobil’s profits are the only ones she intends to “take.”
I wish this wench would just go away. I hope Al Gore runs just to aggravate her.
Ain't that the truth.
Look, Comrade Hillary - I do NOT need your government-mandated "help" to make a living, or raise my children. In other words, shove it - and h@ll will freeze over before I vote for a prevaricating political pragmatist like you...
The voice of Communism........plain and simple.
“We’re going to take things away from you for your own good.”
BTW, since her husband left office, has HER GAP with the poor grown or shrunk?
Hillary’s utopia— where the government wipes every tear and half the fannies and the elites decide what’s good for us poor ignorant folks who are too dumb to run our own lives.
Nah, most of big TV here is in lockstep with her (or is it goosestep?)
What she will go after, and I mean priority #1 if she somehow gets elected POTUS, will be conservative talk radio.
Silence your critics. It's the Marxist way......
It takes a collective to enslave idiots! Or something.

Clinton: Attitude Must Go ‘On Your Own’ (there, fixed it.)

Clinton: Must Go (I like this one better)

Hillary Clinton is making a public appeal for an election theme song. You should nominate that one.
You don’t need a tax cut, you’re just gonna waste that money anyway...
Are they going to let it slide as usual? Will the Republican presidential candidates denounce this?
I truly believe none of the Republicans have the guts to denounce Clinton's remarks and call a spade a spade. Nope, it's business as usual, as the goal posts slide further to the Left some more.
Literally the same. Look up people like Pete Seger.
“The dirty little secret about freedom is you are on your own.” -Clarence Thomas.
This witch is talking about taking away our God given freedoms. She also stands a chance of being voted into the White House. Anybody that even hints they would vote for this vile shrew is no friend of mine. I don’t care if it is a family member. They are not welcome in my home.
I don't think that it is a lack of guts on the Republican part. I honestly don't think the GOP has the intellectual firepower to defend individualism. That's how we ended up with "compassionate conservatism". Of all the current candidates, Ron Paul might have an argument, but he is constantly torn down by the GOP and on this site. All of the others don't seem to have any genuine interest in individual rights.
