Chicago Priest Calls for Murder of Gun Shop Owner

Nobody expected Saturday's Operation PUSH protest at Chuck's Gun Shop & Range to be anything other than a circus of the bizarre. However, nobody anticipated that an address by a Chicago priest would include a call for the murder of a suburban gun shop owner and legislators who oppose gun control.

During an address at an anti-gun rally in front of Chuck's, Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina's Church, exhorted the crowd to "drag" shop owner, John Riggio, from his shop "like a rat" and "snuff" him. Rev. Pfleger went on to tell the crowd that legislators that vote against gun control legislation should be "snuffed"...

This is a man who belongs in a straight jacket. Please do not think that he speaks for Roman Catholics, “Mike” has been off the rails for awhile now, and hopefully this latest incident will spur the Archdiocese into action.

A couple of things

• First I wonder if he feels the same way about pedophiles?
• And his attitude may be a bit over the top from the "official" council of catholic bishops, but not all that much. They never met a gun control law that they didn't like. So, like draws like and anti-freedom chuch bureaucrats speak out with the more or less approval of the church heirarchy
• Don't hold you breath for any official denouncement of this jackass by the church bureaucracy.

Note that this is the same Catholic Church and Reverend that routinely invites Louis Farrakhan to speak from their pulput...

St. Sabina's Rev. Michael L. Pfleger told his congregation that Farrakhan's presence at the church is “only strange to people who don't know Minister Louis Farrakhan.”

“He's spoken here many times and St. Sabina is a home for Louis Farrakhan,” said Pfleger, who called Farrakhan “a gift from God to a sick, sick world.”
