It’s not only Bush that’s saying all of these things, but also many Democrats and many Republicans at every political level who are pro-amnesty for illegal immigrants and who are also saying the exact same things that the President is saying! Arrgh! If conservatives are supposed to vote out all of these “pro-amnesty for illegals” Republicans from political office, then who are they supposed to vote for instead to replace them if no “pro-law enforcement towards illegals” politicians are running to replace them!?!

That is one of the reasons I think a conservative grassroots push for impeachment would be one of the most effective efforts. Even if it never came to full fruition, it would still be a major statement that the people aren't as blind deaf and dumb as the politicians believe. I would expect it to have, at least on the Republican side, a scared straight effect. Amnesty would become the third rail of politics, because if conservatives would impeach their own president to stop it, they sure as hell would vote out a Congressman who leaned that way. Right now, Republicans know that we don't like amnesty proposals, but they seem to be thinking something along the lines of "Oh, they don't like it? Well, what are they going to do about it?"
