Correct... if you are a proponent of Intelligent Design, but incorrect if you subscribe to the ridiculous theory of Evolution...since Evolutionists hold, per the tree of life diagram in post #31 above, that "Fishes" are the sole path to Homo Sapiens (and all mammals, for that matter).
Your diagram is sloppy. There are at least five major groups of fish. The bony fish, class Osteichthyes, appeared late and are not our direct ancestors. They are cousins. Therefore, we are not descended from the bony fish, and their missing certain genes or possibly having others is irrelevent to our inheritance.
