DENVER The president of the University of Colorado has recommended that a professor who likened some Sept. 11 victims to a Nazi should be fired, according to the professor and the school.
Ward Churchill, a tenured professor of ethnic studies, has denied the allegations and threatened a lawsuit if he is dismissed

While rest of us consider jail for Ward.
Just now? Should have been done long ago.
Churchill should not worry, he can always go to work for the Democrat party as a political strategists.
You obviously have no clue as to what hoops have to be jumped through in order to fire someone who has tenure.
Re-organize the department.
“You obviously have no clue as to what hoops have to be jumped through in order to fire someone who has tenure.”
Just curious...what does he have to do? Something conservative?
It would have been interesting to see exactly what he did say, and by what convoluted logic he came to that conclusion.
He must really know he's in trouble. A University that even has such a thing as a tenured post in Ethnic Studies will surely give him a long leash, but he prefers to take the typical liberal tactic of throwing it into the court system.
“Churchill should not worry, he can always go to work for the Democrat party as a political strategists.”
What do you think he’s doing as a Professor ?
He’s just now “recommending” that he be fired? In another two or three years, they might actually do it.
Just keep him, change his job description to “Chief Toilet Cleaner.” It would be worth the cost of his salary to see him in that job. I believe they just have to keep him because of tenure, but they can change his job description. Or assign him to teach classes that don’t give credit. Make a gazillion pre-requisites for it and let him sit in a room and rot. That room should be located in the..............
Is enrollment/donations down at U of C?
The Privilege and Tenure Committee has 15 business days to respond to CU President Hank Brown’s recommendation that Churchill be fired.
If Brown still wants to fire Churchill, he must go to the Board of Regents. The chairman of the board will notify Churchill, who has 20 days to respond.
If Churchill wants the board to conduct a hearing, they will do so in private, or “executive session,” because it is considered a personnel matter.
But the board will vote in public on whether to fire Churchill. The regents’ decision is final, although Churchill says he will sue if he is dismissed
Perhaps it would be best . . .
1. Fire the sucker.
2. Convict him of gross treason and terminal stupidity.
3. Sentence him to shaving his hair, 8 hours of a sweat lodge followed by 8 hours of an igloo followed by 8 hours of a sweat lodge . . . as long as he lasts . . . nude, of course . . . on U Tube . . . live cam . . . with suitable warnings . . . and a laugh track . . . maybe with some tribe’s sacred rattle snakes in the sweat lodge . . .
in other words . . . anything civil would be too good for the traitorous terminally stupid jerk.
Boy, the wheels of justice sure can turn slowly if the accused is a liberal. Had this been a Conservative, he’d have been out on his can before the first reporter hung up the telephone.
Good idea when it happens lets party!
Just drop the whole department.
He is not on campus. He is on paid leave while they decide what to do about him. The faculty wants to suspend him for a year and allow him to return. Hank Brown is saying, no, he’s got to got. It is nearly impossible to fire a tenured professor. Your tax dollars at work.
