Howie Carr live thread. I think Howie is in FLA today so Avi Nelson was mentioned as the fill in.
I was hoping the colonel would sub today........
Pretty sure Howie did mention Avi filling in, on last Fri’s
show.
Avi Nelson is a good replacement for Howie Carr IMHO. He’s very conservative. I still remember Avi from the “Five on Five” television show.
Yes he did mention Avi would be subbing, but, I was hoping that Avi took the day off and the colonel would come in!! Wishful/hopeful thinking! Avi’s ok, I can deal with him but I think the colonel is much more entertaining!
Dennis Prager is live every national holiday. I listen to Dennis daily, anyway! :-)
... with TAR-TAR sauce?
...and on the site too
“Avi Nelson will be in for Howie on Memorial Day and will be ranting about gas prices, the War in Lebanon and maybe even Rosie O’Donnell...”

Guess there are some hosts doing best-ofs. Ingraham’s show did
(WNSH Beverly 9-noon, WCRN Worc. 1-3 pm, WTKK Boston 9-mid.)
Col. can be funny but oh that raspy voice. I guess he did get hit in the throat during the war so that could be part of
it (Sandy mentioned that)
Ingraham is never live on a holiday, best I can recall. Mostly ‘best of’ shows today.
He mentioned last week, he was going to be in Florida - at the condo that Imus paid for.
How about the unclassy behavior of Umass Amherst last week...faculty and students booing as Andy Card got an honorary doctorate? Man, thats bad, i remember a time when Amherst actually did have class.
Boy, you must be old! (LOL! Nothing personal — I remember when a student wouldn’t dare be rude to an invited guest of the college, or — well, we never found out because no one dared!)
He must have some discount coupons he has to use...
