Mitt ping
Not to wprry! The LDS people I’ve met have generally been fine people.
That said I am interested in how the movie portrays the subject.
Remember when Beezelbubba would go to church his 20lb. Bible would always be cover out so you clearly see what it was.
It’s going to be hard to label Romney as a moron. The guy has a habit of appearing incredibly articulate.
That said, I agree with you in some ways. The fact that Romney is new to the Pro-Life movement is going to be seen as a strike against him. Yeah, he had some vetoes on behalf of life. But those debates from 94 and 02....
There’s absolutely no excuse for the anti-Mormon nonsense, but it exists.
I personally have no problems whatsoever with a politician from the northeast with the right ideas and mindset. Frankly, I think it’s about time that we began clawing a few electoral votes from New Hampshire and possibly Maine again. I think Romney could very well do that.
I really think the Republican party is in dire need of some geographic diversity. We keep sending up southerner after southerner... I’m from the souteast and born and raised in Tennessee. That said, someone from the Mountain West would be particularly helpful about now, for instance.
Cool! Another guy looking to make an easy buck on peoples’ ignorance or fears.
Like the Germans making conspiracy films about the Jews in the ‘30’s.
“I think the status of the Mormons today is mainstream”
Your sounding like a liberal -—you think..........
How about checking out the facts?
It’s going to be very tough to get a majority of conservative voters to become more than willing to vote for any Republican from the northeast if any of them do end up on the final GOP Presidential ticket. My fear is that conservatives have now set the bar of expectations too high to ever satisfy enough conservatives to vote for whoever the GOP eventually ends up with! Right now, the “more amnesty for illegal immigrants” legislation is truly making most people very upset with both Republicans and Democrats at the federal level. People really want Ronald Reagan again (minus Reagan’s signature for ‘86 amnesty legislation) when nobody really stands out as “the next Ronald Reagan”. I’m in line with those who really want a final GOP Presidential ticket of Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson for ‘08, but will it truly be enough to defeat an eventual Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama ‘08 Democratic Presidential ticket? I certainly hope so for the sake of the entire U.S.
I think the status of the Mormons today is mainstreamAs an atheist, I judge religions but their secular fruits, that is, by their effect on society. With the exception of those offshoots that still practice polygamy, I don't see any bad effects of Mormonism on society.Your sounding like a liberal -you think..........

As an atheist, I see only one truly evil religion on the planet. And it's not Mormonism, as offbeat as Mormonism may be. And it's not Scientology, as whacko as Scientology is.
Many of said people have no idea what Christianity is.
That is one wierd statement and it almost requires wtf cat. The "fruit of the spirit" is the opposite of secular fruits.
Your tag line is very true in your case.
What about the LDS Soldier who believes in Jesus Christ and also fights for your right to slander the “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints”.
He is the only path to salvation in the Kingdom of God through His atonement. No amount of "work" will suffice or get one there. One MUST accept Jesus Christ and His atonement in their life. Born of the virgin Mary, taken to Egypt to escape Herod, taught in the Temple at an early age upon returning to the Holy Land, turned water into wine, healed the sick, fed the masses with but a few loafs, raised the dead, suffered in the Garden and died on the cross to be resurrected the third day. This is what I witness and believe.
I am also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
You may disagree on whatever points of doctrine, on wahtever interpretation. But this most basic and intrinsic truth holds, and it the very essence of Chritsianity...and it is what I believe and witness to you. It is also what I have been taught. Take it as you will...it is given here in sincerity.
I am grateful beyond measure, that in the end, it will be Christ Himself who makes the judgement. He will know His own as they will know Him and anyone who sincerely professes Him and accepts Him, regardless of stripe, will be in that number. At that time, they will do whatever He instructs and leads them to do.
I also believe that every human being born onto this earth will have the opportunity to hear about our Savior and accept or reject Him based on the dictates of their heart...every one.
God bless.
I believe you are not qualified to know if Mormons are a christian religion or not. Since your an athiest, i’m not surprised at your ignorance on this matter.
