Rudy will probably be the candidate of the conservatives, so the debate is not wether Rudy or not but what Rudy for candidate.
Where's the "Aw geez, not this sh!t again!" guy when you need him?
If Rudy is the candidate, the party will split and the GOP will not only lose the presidency, but the House and Senate for a generation. Personally, I won't vote for Giuliani--I don't vote for liberals regardless of party affiliation.

/ Agreed. He had some great insight.Yes, like the fact that the F-35 program will be shut down by the end of 2004.

Oddly enough, I miss Howlin.
The quality of personal insults here is lacking without her spice.

If being a “purist” means voting against your own self-interest, then being a “purist” is the same as being a moron.

My experience is not like yours. I dont recall Mia T, Howlin, or Travis Mcgee cheerleading for homos. Maybe we read different threads.
Of those three, the only one I ever crossed swords with was Howlin. And my many "discussions" with her convinced me that she was, in fact, a liberal pretending to be a conservative. I've come to recognize the MO over the years--they always support the president--even when he's dead wrong on something--but never the key conservative issues. Especially on social issues, they're always on the wrong side and use the exact same terminology to attack social conservatives as the left does.
And yes, there were many among the departed who were big-time homo-promo types and baby-killer-huggers.

Rudy Guiliani is a LIBERAL. If he was a Democrat, he wouldn't be welcome here - period. He's honest, I'll give him that but his views aren't in the mainstream of the Republican Party. This is after all, a conservative site. If liberalism is the conservatism, FR might as well close up shop now.

Why, you crafty counterrevolutionary you!
I stopped doing it because I had trouble remaining honest without totally blowing my cover. And even the slightest hit that you're not a Stalinist at some of those sites is enough to get you banned.

Matt posts worse stuff himself these days.
I think it was really a problem with some of his "gay" friends who told him the site was full of Nazis or something.
That was right in that period before "$p0+...." citations got automatically deleted ~ there have been some noteworthy advances in keeping sites clean of garbage since those days.

do you have a link for clown posse?
It's defunct. That is to say, the clowns have gone underground. If I had to guess, I'd say that there one or more FReepers who have infiltrated the clowns in hiding, though.
