I honestly would have no problem with my son being shown the film as long as the class did an honest, in-depth analysis of the facts to determine if the film was correct or simple propoganda.

The film should not be shown in science classes because it's not in any way a objective look at the issue and half of the film is a hagiography of Al Gore.

It would be like showing Michael Moore's film Sicko in health classes - has that happened yet? It certainly would not surprise me!

The school announced it will soon be teaching the children with “Triumph of the Will”, “Birth of a Nation” and “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”.

My son came home from parochial school the other day with his head full of lies from this film. It took a little deprogramming to assure him we were not all going to be cooked alive. The principal has been informed of my displeasure.

First it was his world history class. Then he saw it in his economics class. And his world issues class. And his environment class

Pretty ridiculous but what I find interesting is the courses. I went to high school a long time ago but I don’t recall high school being a time to study such subject (except as part of a larger course such as history). We were so busy with learning basics such as science, math, English, etc. that our electives were pretty much limited to foreign languages, advanced math or English, debate, business courses (i.e. typing or shorthand), shop or home economics. How do they have time to cover environment, economics or world issues as separate courses? Is this why our kids can’t spell or write worth a hoot?

Signed, me, an old coot.

The NEA is probably behind all of this. Parents need to stand up and tell those schools what they think of this kind of stuff. They are the ones paying the taxes to support the schools.

1. The idea itself is sacrosanct to the liberals
2. Liberals believe that Americans are sagacious as a populace and that only they have the right of sovereignty

The entire book/PowerPoint/Movie/speech whatever of Al Gore and the enviro postate is a slumgullion of falsitudes presented as a gospel

If they try that here, my kids would “conveniently” be absent that day.

Have you ever noticed how many people say almost the exact words: I just saw Al Gore’s movie and I feel I must do something....

Be it on blogs, forums, etc.. people are almost like robots on this.... Coincidence? I don’t think so..

Do a Google search for ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and ‘Subliminal Messages’ (or NLP) or, if you can find a downloaded copy of the movie, upload it in Flash, Sony Vegas, or another program where you can see it frame by frame.. very shocking what is put in this movie...

.. More info to come as I can get some screenshots on the latter item... I may float that to Matt Drudge first..

The sad thing is that Al Gore’s propaganda film has gained any respectability. I know several college professors, both in the sciences, who totally support Al Gore’s wild claims, despite the mounting evidence to its fallacy.

I don’t know why these kids keep watching movies in school. During our Christmas party, we saw a Disney film...I remember seeing That Darn Cat out of the eight movies that I saw during my years at Catholic Grade School. Then in Catholic High School, my American Government teacher showed us Legal Eagles. Now I don’t remember the movie much because we had to see it over two or three days so not much was learned from it and I am not even sure if it was a liberal or conservative movie. Anyway, I hardly think these kids are getting much from Al Gore’s movie because kids hate facts and figures on a powerpoint slide and they probably saw it over a number of days. I still think it is disgusting that they would show the movie in the first place.

Once it becomes socialist propaganda it becomes a tool for the left. Education has become no more than indoctrination of leftist idealism.
