He didn’t say we should vote for democrats, just that people had reasons for voting for certain politicians. I didn’t press the issue with him. I just wanted to present a different argument. I find most priests are so swayed by “social justice” arguments to the point that they give more weight to “helping the poor” over any other issue.

The tragedy therein is that these “social justice” zealots have murdered 43 million, while NOT helping the poor or disadvantaged: the repubbies are NOT and NEVER HAVE “cut funding for the poor” or “hurt the children” or any other blathering lies put out by the democrat socialists to get votes.

Those lies are being used SPECIFICALLY TO GET the vote and support of the priest (and millions of others!) that you mentioned.

I find it the same here. Helping the poor is the big issue for our priests/nuns/parish, “social justice”, etc. It overrides any other issue for them.
