The saga is over.
Rosie O'Donnell will not be returning to "The View."
In a statement today, Brian Frons, the president of Disney-ABC's Daytime Television Group, said, "We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."
Barbara Walters, the show's creator and co-executive producer, said, "I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at 'The View.' I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."
In her statement, O'Donnell said, "I'm extremely grateful. It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."
And on her Web site Thursday, O'Donnell wrote: "When painting there is a point u must step away from the canvas as the work is done."
O'Donnell announced at the end of April she was leaving "The View," and her last day was supposed to be June 20.

...gross..... those are for her baby
Nothing much.
“Mostly, she was simply the classiest lady on the show.” No argument there!
“It wasn’t until Rosie was on the show that it became a political megaphone for Rosie and Joy Behar.” Not true. Behar and Meredith Viera were spewing their lefty stuff all along. I remember when Al Gore was on the show and Joy was fawning all over him. Elizabeth was very nice to Gore and just made some “fluff” comments — kinda cute actually — and Joy was staring daggers at her. Joy has been taking digs at Bush all along. The only difference when Rosie came on the scene is that she was starting to make a punching bag out of Elisabeth, personally.
... she is a very sharp lady, but I find her as mean spirited as Rosie...not to meantion too thin. She needs to consume 20 sandwhiches and a case of beer.
I don’t think “lightweight” is the right word. But I do think she is a neophyte in the world of political discourse. She’ll do fine as she starts to do more research and pays more attention to the issues. I think back to how reactionary I was when I first started following politics and, actually, it was having babies that made me more politically aware. When you’re home all day w/o adult conversation, talk radio becomes a life line!
Or could EH is like me it takes a few days for somethings to sink in and then I want to make myself clear.
Maybe the View should just go away all together.
I liked it when t first came on years ago but now I run for the clicker when my son’s show AM Northwest is over.
I really dislike all the junk on morning tv on the major networks.
Dr. Phil, Oprah, Judge whoever all these shows treat the viewers like dim wits unable to form their own opinion and conquer the road blocks of life. JMO
The big dif in Tokyo Rosie & AC is that AC has the facts to back her up while Tokyo Rosie has nothing but anti-American, ant-military Commie propaganda.
WHo’s body is that?
Looks like the old Jewish porn actor Ron Jeremy.
Wow I don’t watch the show but have been watching the cat fight on the news and she just didn’t look that big breasted.
Is that a pregnant pic?
She just seemed so slim and petite, maybe it was because Rosie is so big.
The inevitable, "yeah but"; I saw it too and I thought O'Reilly pretty much tossed her a lot of softballs.
hahaha, thanks for posting the current Trump comments. We had a good laugh about that. Rosie was awful yesterday on YouTube.
I am not a big Ann fan because she can be a little to tart mouthed.
However I don’t think she would sink so low to do a carnival sideshow like the view.
Want un ugley picture in your mind?
Think of Micheal Moore and Rosie bieng a married and having children together.
Poor innocent babies to be brainwashed by those two as parents. (shiver)
adios my friend? LOL
I'm sure you do, Rosie.
I would have loved o see Rosie & the girls go up against Ann Coulter or Laura Ingram.
THAT would have been “Must See TV!!
