We have a bag of Iam’s regular cat food that we are holding on to for the same reason.
Our cats were having some strange puking...and then we took them off...then when were heard “it was ok” we put them back on.
They started to puke again (not the grassy..or hair ball type of upchucking...gross bile”ish” puke (sorry if TMI))
So we switched to the Dick Van Patton food.
They have been absolutely fine ever since.
I am very sorry you had to put your animal down.

Have been feeding my cat Purina Naturals for the last year or so. Most other dry foods don’t agree with him. He can’t eat any dry food containing the colored bits. He can only eat the canned Fancy Feast that is in the paste form as the chunky and grilled kinds get puked right back up.
His delicate stomach has been ongoing for several years so I don’t think it’s related to contaminated food. Unless this contamination has been going on far longer than we have been told.
