How about that Mary Kay lady and her middle school student? Do you have respect for that as well?

A Mary Kay lady? I don't think so. If you trying to refer to Mark Kay Le Tourneau. She is no lady and I doubt she is involved with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

I didn’t make time commitment a primary consideration for when to honor a relationship. You did. I’m simply trying to understand your criteria. I cannot accept your criteria because it falls far too short.

A good marriage relationship goes far beyond commitment to each other. It includes the willingness to put children first, put the other spouse before self and to use the relationship to be a blessing to the world around us.

A marriage relationship that is merely committed to each other is self centered and of little help to children, family, the larger community or most importantly to God.

A marriage relationship that merely loves each other or lasts a long time and doesn’t offer that love to others is ultimately a wasted relationship.

Short relationships that do the above are worthy of respect. The time factor you think is important is probably the least of all the factors. A marriage of one day could be worthy of respect while a marriage of 50 years could be a waste.

Artificial insemination, sperm donors, egg donors, test tube babies, are all against nature.

“This is just wrong to do to a child. IMO”

Yup.

Since I don't know them personally, I can only speak to their commitment of 16 years. It takes a strong relationship to last that long and I commend their devotion.

Do you use antibiotics? Antihistamines? Aren't reading glasses against nature?

hey snugs!

Congratulations to Mary, Vice President and Mrs Cheney!

The Cheney's are a class act. Period.

To those who would choose this time to take potshots at the Cheney family in roder to promote their own world view, shame on you.

Now let the flaming begin. Like I care.

I believe every child is a gift from God, but is this really God’s will? So much acceptance on a conservative site, wonder if we’re not turning into Sodom and Gemorrah

The grandpa will do in this case.

I agree, as far as it goes. But will Dick Cheney live until the boy grows up? Will he spend much time with him? That's pretty much up to his daughter and her partner to decide.
