Hi Folks.
In an effort to douse disinfectant on this debate, I'll try to post a daily thread. The details of this garbage legislation, once uncovered, are mind-boggling. I'm sure the elites would much prefer we not know or discuss them.
So far the Grassley Amendment is being discussed. This amendment would dump the judicial review/appeal process of a revoked visa (in the current and new law) and make the process similar to that of a denied visa. Inotherwords, GO HOME.
Grassley pointed out that under this legislation, even terrorists can appeal a revoked visa. His argument thus far is being countered by Kennedy and Menendez, D of New Jersey. He's currently droning on and on right now...nation of immigrants...family values don't end at the Rio Grande...jobs Americans won't do...
Get the picture?
Diane Feinstein is wearing me out.
To listen to these traitors, we have to conclude they don't want to secure our Borders.
We're watching the final destruction of our Country as we once knew it.

This headline says the guest worker program has been slashed and capped at 200,000. Passed 74-24 over strong white house opposition. I don’t know if this was Grassleys amendment or not.

Tell me-what does Grassley propose in his amendment and when will it be voted on?
As Sessions said right before the vote; the 400,000 was just a ploy to make the 200,000 that was voted on to be a compromise made by the pro-bill makers. We are going to hear about the Family Re-unification very soon for which they are probably getting worried about. This is going to be fun. Why, in deed, have we not heard the Grassley vote. Or did I miss it?
On another note, the Wall St. Journal reports that the Arizona Rep. Party has taken the unprecedented step of making public statements against Bush, McCain and Kyl. The Chairman will appear on Brit Hume and Hardball tonight. He is calling for other state GOP party heads to follow his lead. The WSJ also reported that Kyl is getting so much heat that he ‘could’ depart the ‘coalition’ of senators that crafted this thing, which the Journal (hopefully rightly) suggests that the whole thing would crumble then.

It sounded to me like Kennedy was just admitting that contrary to what Spectre said (later), the border would NOT be secured before much of the bill is enacted. He blamed it on Chertoff...oh and he used a new catchphrase...’comprehensive border security’. LOL...That’s border security without border security.
Oh I heard her....practically BRAGGING about how many illegals she’s got in her state!!!
And I was just saying, it’s about time for them to pull an Elian Gonzales....they’re due to play a public sympathy card on family reunification...they’ll go and time this with the arrest of Elvira and her son...you just watch!!

Probably refers to anyone who says they are just doing ‘humanitarian’ work. I’m guessing it could be anybody...which flys in the face of the existing laws that make it ILLEGAL to do anything to ‘encourage’ illegal immigration.
I pulled this from my initial post at the top of the thread...it describes Grassley's amendment. I'm still wondering if they've voted on it yet...no one seems to know. The Rats were framing their opposition as a "due process" thingy.
They may have voted and we all just missed it.

And why are they getting away with it? I’m listening, but not in front of the tv...but it sounds to me like the only person fighting this thing is Gregg? How are they even being allowed to vote?...shoot...I just went and looked...it looks like there are a number of people there...did they lock out the folks on our side? Or don’t we have any? LOL
