Yep. McCain is a cult of personality, whose supporters are in the MSM, which in the end wouldn’t vote for him over a Democrat if you held a gun to their collective heads.

McCain-Feingold killed any chance for hime in ‘08 as far as I’m concerned.
Looking at the Republican field and the Democrat field. McCain stands a better chance running against Obama and Hillary in the primary. So a few very subtle changes and wha-la McCain is a Democrat.

This “cap and trade” nonsense is the basis of the Kyoto accords. It is just a worldwide income redistribution scheme. We have to pay the backward countries for their carbon “credits” in order to keep our economy functioning. It is such a scam.
Nothing this non-principled opportunist does "kills" his Presidential campaign. He still maintains some type of support with the Republican base. WHY in the world is that?
