Since it's only me the kid and his new girlfriend this week end, I am going to do it easy this time.
Two large racks of Lloyd's BBQ Baby Back Ribs cut into double ribs.
Add 1 cup sweet Mogan David red wine into crok pot.
Heat on High for 2 hours.
Of course, Jimmy Deans pre made mashed potatoes (they are great).
Fresh asparagus from the farm next to me. and
Shoo Fly Pie from the Amish Farm with ice cream for desert.
Hamlin OTP so far.
Jr has Burt Reynolds on his XM show tonight.
BTW...did I tell you Mikey crashed again...
Nothing wrong with easy. Actually, smoking a pig shoulder roast is pretty easy... just have to be home for the day to give it a look see now and then. I can't wait for local sweet corn season. I think I'll grill the taters, and steam some local asparagus (thanks for the idea).
My son and I are building a basketball standard this weekend, so no doubt there's gonna be some one-on-one to be dealt with. I'll have to balance between keeping him in a good mood and wiping the court with him... suppose that depends on how tired or ornery I get. Wait a minute, I'm always tired. What's up with that? Tubebender? Buehler?
Come to think of it, I'm always ornery too... poor kid.
NYT demands smoker photos, so that's another easy task. The only trick will be staying awake for the end of the race after I get up at 5am to get the whole thing rolling :o)
