.

Apparently the President had a relaxing day without the enemedia in his face. There were no new photos today, however one photo from the ranch on Sunday appeared at 7:15 this evening.

Since the President was having a relaxing day, the enemedia chose to capitalize on the slow day by focusing on whether the President of the United States wears a seat belt while driving around his ranch in Texas.
Read all about it here!

The nonsense continued during the Press Briefing by Tony Snow this afternoon.

Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met a number of foreign leaders at the State Department today.

DrDeb, Fox just reported that the President would speak about Iraq tomorrow. Think it’s about the Intel that was released about Bin Laden ordering attacks on US.
They didn’t cite the time but, I believe, they said tomorrow evening. Need to check time.

Thanks for the dose - sorry I am late to the party but was having a nap and then getting a cup of tea (and in the middle of it fell over and skinned my knee).

He will deliver the commencement address at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT tomorrow. Do you mean other than that?

It must be this Coast Guard Academy speech . . . Predictably, it’s NOT on C-Span’s schedule (yet) . . . Is FoxNews planning to broadcast it live?

Okay this is so trite, and probably has already been covered...but where does Condi get her clothes from? She is, like Laura Bush, always been impeccably dressed.

i think it’s the chairs they use, they seem to be lower to the ground, and condi is pretty long legged...

I’ve thought it on more than one occasion. She appears to have VERY long legs so who am I to talk about how to fold them up. My feet would hardly touch the floor if I were sitting in those chairs. ;*)

My parents come from the era before seat belts and both preferred driving without them. Of course in Britain they had to wear them at the end of the driving life. Also it is mandatory to wear one on the public roads as a passenger.

When I sit in the back of a car I prefer not to wear one but in the front I feel safer with one on.

The bottom line is when on private property you can do what you like and as an adult it is down to you end of argument.

IMHO this is a stupid thing for the press to waste their time on on his land the President can do what he wants within reason and wearing or not wearing a seat belt is within reason.

I think anyone that chooses to wear a seat belt should have that right. I feel the same way in reverse. The federal government has no constitutional authority to demand it.
