On Memorial Day I remember the members of my family who have fought in every war this country has ever had, including the King Phillip war in about 1690, but most of all I remember my great great great grandfather who joined General Washington at the age of l5 and was captured by the British, contracted small pox and was put on a hospital ship in New York Harbor. He survived, but he was just a boy!
What a legacy! Patriotism obviously runs deep in your veins.
