I wonder. If the Dems kill this program, and I predict they will “let it die on the vine”, will the DC parents finally “see the light” and note who is helping them out of poverty and who is keeping them there, intentionally?...........
No, killing the program will not change local politics, if nothing else because not enough people are involved to make a difference. The affected people will move out of town, though. And that will affect politics by their replacements. Still liberal, but not as inclined to buy into the “jobs and housing” thing as major parts of the town now.
