The Republican Party can decide whether it lives or dies by whether or not it blocks the immigration compromise from passing this year. If they stop it from going through and a Democratic President pushes it through a Democratic Congress in 2009, the GOP will suffer as much among Hispanic voters as it did among black voters after Barry Goldwater crusaded against the Civil Rights Bill in his 1964 election campaign. Until Goldwater did that, blacks usually voted Republican. Kennedy won over about 60% of them when he called Correta Scott King while her husband was in jail. But LBJ got the 90% of the black vote that has since become his partys expected share as a direct result of Goldwaters campaign.
If the Republican Party passes this bill while a GOP president can still sign it and take partisan credit for it, they will have a very good chance of winning the Latino vote in the future. If not, they will be ground under the demographic changes in America just as the Labor Party was in the early years of the 20th century.
Sorry, the focal point should not be whether the Republican part lives or dies. It should be whether this country lives or dies.
Also, tell them we know where our social security money is going and it’s not to the rightful beneficiaries.
Don’t change the titles.
"Gee, these guys are gonna bring 12 million democrat voters into the country plus all their family members, so we better help them do it so they'll be nice to us when they take over America."
It's an utter disgrace and it shows how absolutely cowardly and craven and defeated the Republicans in congress and the white house have become.
He didn’t change the title. He added a BARF ALERT.
Republican National Committee: 202-863-8500
the focal point should not be whether the Republican part lives or dies. It should be whether this country lives or dies.
And what if it's true? Are you prepared for that? We've been saying this could happen if illegal immigration weren't stopped. It wasn't stopped. Now we may have this precise situation as he describes it.
What do you do then?
I wish I had a feeling I could really trust Morris.
Either he really HAS turned 180 degrees — or he’s a trojan/disinformation specialist for the DNC.
And on this issue at least, he is certainly morally wrong.
Duck Fick!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost every time, ever time I can remember, at least, and I haven’t been paying as much attention over the last year, but every prediction I can ever remember Morris making has been wrong.
He’s like the anti-Nostradamus.
Real Americans have been rudely awakened by this impending horrific debacle...
The GOP will lose if they DON'T slam-dunk this mess...
The Latino vote will remain low income. Morris doesn't believe otherwise. Hispanics have high illegitimacy rates. Low income and single mother voters of all races tend to vote Democrat. Does Morris think that Hispanics, if you control for income and marital status, will under any circumstances have a greater tendency to vote for the GOP than whites?
He has no basis for thinking this. He is just shilling for the open border lobby.
“Hispanics dont vote for the GOP anyway!!”
This Hispanic does.
BTW, the only reason Hispanics support immigration is because they are racists.
>>Morris is a village idiot.
He thinks the GOP should allow 20 million new Dems voters so they dont lose as bad as they would if the ignore the illegals? He is truly brilliant. I often wonder if he really is a Clinton plant. His advice is that BAD.<<
I wonder if he underestimated the backlash of indignation the amnesty bill would invoke, and then got angry at “the Republican base” because they didn’t do what he expected.
That ok Republicans will win in what left of the “rump” USA after large chunks of the US are seceded to Mexico by our new “citizens”....:/
NO AMNESTY!
