Actually, no. Through legislative slight of hand, the number of illegals will magically be reduced to almost none. DHS will deny the existence of most of those who remain, deport a very limited number of poor saps, and claim success.

Can’t meet the objective? Change the measurement. Only in government.

I have this sinking feeling that you're exactly right. "What illegal aliens? All these people have visas. Success!"

I don't care how old Sheets is, or how bad he looks, or how big a Dem. He is virulently anti-amnesty, and has singlehandely blocked amnesty bills before (2002).

He unapologetically voted against the last one. Had some great things to say against it too.

I don't think we get Mark in the Albuquerque area, but I listen via the web. Web links can be found every day on the "Mark Levin Show" thread at

Dave, I just watched Pete on C-Span. He was quite impassioned in his defense of this 'Kill the Republican Party' bill....as far as I'm concerned, he has jumped the shark.

If you were wrong, then in 1986 it WOULD have been fixed and we wouldn’t have this supposed “crisis” of 12 million illegal immigrants.

Our problems today flow from the errors of 1986 bill.

Our problems in 1986 flowed from the errors of the 1965 immigration bill - THE ONE KENNEDY WROTE.

Loopholes galore so that deportation is impossible combined with ‘chain migration’ that brings the dependents along to load down social services with the most costs. Very convenient for socialists looking for more ‘clients’.

So Ted Kennedy gets to destroy America, step by bad-legislative-step. And our RINOs and the liberal media help him.

What a travesty.

we WERE around for the last one.

Maybe this is why these 'immigration reform' bills only come around every twenty years or so. It takes that much time for people like you and me to get pushed to the margin and history forgotten...so we can repeat it.

On any reasoned basis since the 1986 fiasco, La Raza and the ACLU will soon be rejoicing. They will go to the courts to nullify anything they don’t like and will be soon drowning in the billions and hundreds of billions in benefits they will receive.

They will then elect socialist/communist candidates to further their “rights” on housing, education and social security.

You can count on it.

Glen Beck is talking about the President’s poll numbers dropping because of this issue, along with Congress.

Do they care though? They think they are above the people, not of the people.

As Neal Boortz says....WE DON’T NEED TO DEPORT ANYONE!!!!!!

Just enforce the employer laws with heavy fines, possible jail sentences and the illegals will go home on their own!!!!DUH!

Maybe we should suggest to senators that are against this amnesty that they wear black armbands to signal the death of America and loudly proclaim why. I’m sending an upside down American Flag to my senator and displaying one on my car. If this eventually passes, I hope we have a national holiday...a national day of mourning.

This bill is going to cost YOU the American tax payers at least 2.4 TRILLION dollars to just get it started. How much do you think it will cost the American people in emotional damages, lost wages or at the least lower wages. Does anyone maintain a data base of the number of people that are killed every day by an illegal? Does anyone maintain a data base of the number of sexual crimes that are committed by illegals? Someone should present to Congress a list of all the names of U.S. citizens who have been harmed by violence from the illegals. The name of the victim and the type of crime. THIS BILL WILL BENEFTI MEXICO, $17 Billion dollars are earned in the U.S. by illegals and sent home to Mexico each year. The list of who voted to open this bill for debate should be available tomorrow. I am not sure, but I think there were some interesting names that DID NOT VOTE.

Actually, they’re apparently not even voting on this crappy bill, but last years, and then they go over to door number two and pull out this year’s bill, which nobody’s seen yet, and it takes the place ......Oh, my god, I almost twisted my head off!
