Their children, four you say, don’t have the elder work ethic, will drop out of highschool, will have illegitemate children in record numbers, will join gangs, abuse drugs, and drive drunk in unheard of numbers. Come to New Mexico and check it out, we know all about the effects of unchecked immigration.

Chill. This is just a procedural vote. Many who voted aye today to proceed to further debate ultimately may or will vote NO to invoke cloture on the final bill.

It’s not like that in the Midwest. I’m not sure what is wrong with your area. I’d say look to the state.

It'll pass and then go to the House for a cluster and back to the Senate when the real debate will begin.

And there it is.

Byrd does not like a messy vote, asks the well to be cleared! Motion agreed to!

That is exactly my point and your original post neglected to point out that there will be another cloture vote before this bill gets to conference.

We've got two weeks to shake up and educate the American people. It's amnesty!

Hopefully, American Idol will be over by then, and they'll be paying better attention!

Well, well, well. Reid has decided he WILL allow 2 weeks for debate. He was SURE he was going to push it through this week.

69 - 23, ayes have it.

Dirty Harry up, looking mournful: "We'd better not try to finish this bill this week...the week after the Memorial Day break will vote on this..."

Socialist Bernie Sander voted against cloture, and so did Democrat Max Baucus.

Representing the KKK, Senator Byrd asks that the well be cleared...

Reid requesting they not complete the bill this week...

Then they better recess or pass some unanimous consent agreement....

Go ahead, look to the state, we are a minority-majority state, largely due to illegal immigration. It is the people who are in the state, not state policies. See the correlation? It is headed your way. Read Heather MacDonald, she has great facts on the hispanic family break-down after immigrating to the US.

69-23 for cloture, and UNBELIEVABLY, Reid just gave us some breathing room by putting off further work on the bill until after the Memorial Day break. We need to redouble our efforts during this gift of time to sway the iiots that want to surrender our nation to the illegals.
