I mentioned her on another thread- I have a very sweet neighbor- from Serbia- who has been going through all the LEGAL requirements to become American. This weekend she was so upset she couldn’t even talk about it- saw her out walking her dog- she waved me off and said - next week.....I can’t talk about it now...
I have ancestors buried in nearly every state in this union who fought for the Revolution, 1812, Civil War, WW1,ww2, Nam.....This is an insult to them all!

Sen. Sessions is doing a tremendous job of illustrating the many differences between what the legislation was purported to do and what it actually does.
This is not only a great service to the American people, but highly persuasive in influencing the Senators still on the fence. Given the abbreviated time line the sponsors would like for consideration of this bill, trust is important.
Many Senators will be staking their political futures on this bill. If it becomes apparent to a Senstor that he has been told the bill is something that it is not, will he risk his future by voting for the bill? I hope not.
I have made it clear to my Senators that this vote may be the most important s/he casts this year, that it will be remembered, as will any betrayal. Senator Sessions is helping us apply the heat.
Keep it up, Senator Sessions. Great job today!

What they are actually invoking cloture on is last year’s bill. The plan is to gain cloture, then call up and substitute the new outrageous bill for last year’s outrageous bill.

Obviously, it is going to be removed - since “nobody” wants to penalize these fine poor Mexican workers (er,illegal alien criminals) by actually charging them for the millions they have cost in lost taxes and gained benefits....
