I could ride my bike through downtown St. Augustine, Florida with my .22 rifle or a shotgun, from the time I reached 12 or 13, back around 1954. No one ever even noticed, or worried.

A far less hysterical time back then.  How far do you think that you would be able to make it through town today?   :-)

My Brother my friends and I would carry our .22’s through town down to the dump and shoot rats all day, we were 12 and 13 years old in a small South Dakota farming town. As we walked through town nobody gave us a second look and we would even wave at the police when they drove by. Times have really changed, its sad.
