McCain to Cornyn: "F--- YOU! I know MORE about this (amnesty) than anyone else in the room!"
This salty exchange followed a mere attempt by a good and decent man Texas Senator John Cornyn - who himself has to wrestle with illegal immigration in his home state as well - attempted to ascertain some clarity on the number of appeals illegals would have in the new bill.
During a meeting Thursday on immigration legislation, McCain and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) got into a shouting match when Cornyn started voicing concerns about the number of judicial appeals that illegal immigrants could receive, according to multiple sources -- both Democrats and Republicans -- who heard firsthand accounts of the exchange from lawmakers who were in the room.
At a bipartisan gathering in an ornate meeting room just off the Senate floor, McCain complained that Cornyn was raising petty objections to a compromise plan being worked out between Senate Republicans and Democrats and the White House. He used a curse word associated with chickens and accused Cornyn of raising the issue just to torpedo a deal.
Things got really heated when Cornyn accused McCain of being too busy campaigning for president to take part in the negotiations, which have gone on for months behind closed doors. "Wait a second here," Cornyn said to McCain. "I've been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You're out of line."
McCain, a former Navy pilot, then used language more accustomed to sailors (not to mention the current vice president, who made news a few years back after a verbal encounter with Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont).
"[Expletive] you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room," shouted McCain at Cornyn.
McCain is an ill-tempered, arrogant, obnoxious windbag... and one not fitting to be President!
Just what I would expect from McCain : )
I hope they ask him all about it at the next debate.
That McCain sure has a short fuse, way too short for me.
Flooding America with demographic changing numbers of illegals and making them citizens might be good for socialist politicians, but it spells doom for America as we know it. 50 million more social security and welfare recipients is not a good thing.
BFD! ;^)
eggs? chicks? rhymes with chicks? beaks? I don’t get it... lol
: )
And AARP, who was so damned quick to muster their minions to kill even a small privatization plan, is totally out to lunch on this issue that would move up the doomsday scenario on social security up at least ten years.
John Cornyn is a decent and honorable man. He’d make a great VEEP candidate.
McCain is a jerk.
I think candidates who are running for office full-time should forfeit their Congressional/Senate pay.
“Flooding America with demographic changing numbers of illegals and making them citizens might be good for socialist politicians, but it spells doom for America as we know it”
Correct!
I can’t for the life of me figure out what curse word there is associated with chickens. Chicken excrement, maybe. But chickens?
Cornyn should run video clips of this for his reelection campaign.
That Charlie Chaplin look-alike is bonkers! I consider him a candidate though.........for the loony bin!
How about Chicken S#$t!!! Hey McCain F YOU!!
CLUCK = LUCK
Then 'LUCK' changes in the first letter....
You'll get it...
We have a winner.
Wonder if we can write F .U. to him when he sends his Fundraising Junk?
McCain, and Bush, and Quisling Republicans, to Americans: “F-— YOU!
From the Post:
“In a heated dispute over immigration-law overhaul, McCain screamed, “F- - - you!” at Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who had been raising concerns about the legislation.
“This is chickens- - - stuff,” McCain snapped at Cornyn, according to several people in the room off the Senate floor Thursday. “You’ve always been against this bill, and you’re just trying to derail it.”
McCain and Hillary separated at birth?
