Abortion and Capitol Punishment are two entirely diffent things. Abortion is murder and is always wrong and a mortal sin. Capital punishment is not sinful or always even wrong. The Pope just thinks that in highly developed countries it is probably not necessary. It is not sinful or wrong. Do not believe what you hear on TV or even all hiearchy. They mislead. The Bible does not teach aganist capital punishment. That should be obvious to anyone who reads it.
What chapter and verse teaches against abortion?
