What a bunch of ungrateful bums. Was the platter that delivered amnesty not quite silver enough for them?

Well, this must be a bad bill then, since both the Mexicans and the Americans don't like it...

Illegals don’t like the plan, so that means we are supposed to like it.

Ummmm...... The ones complaining are the ones back in Mexico, who did NOT sneak across the U.S. border illegally.

"Edmundo Bermudez, a 36-year-old from the northern city of Durango, said the plan rewards those who have already entered the United States illegally, while shutting out those who stayed home hoping to gain legal passage."

The law breakers already in the U.S. were rewarded while those back in Mexico trying to do things legally were screwed.

They should be complaining because the "silver platter" was given to the crimminals and the Mexicans who trying to comply with U.S. law will never see that silver platter.

I think I speak for most Americans when I say that we’re really tired of hearing about angry Mexicans.

There is plenty of anger north of the border from U.S. citizens who are fed up with being invaded, so enough already about Mexican anger.

We’re angry at our elected politicians who do little or nothing about the problem. We’re angry about drunk drivers, murderers, rapists, child molesters, gang-bangers and so on that are streaming across the border. We’re angry about voter fraud involving illegals (and the home-grown variety, too). We’re angry about overcrowded housing and cars parked everywhere. We’re angry about littering and trash.

If things don’t change for the better soon, you’ll see what real anger is all about.

Read the article again and see Post 30.

The illegals in the U.S. love the plan. They are being rewarded.

The law-abiding Mexicans back in Mexico that were trying to do things legally got the shaft and they are angry that the law breakers will now get preference over those who respected U.S. law.

See Post 30.

The Mexicans that are angry are the law-abiding Mexicans that respected U.S. law, did NOT cross into the U.S. illegally and were AGAINST an amnesty.

In other words, they are the Mexicans that shared our views.

Maybe it is best to judge a man by the position that he takes and not by the fact that he is a Mexican.

I don’t think most posters here are reading the article. This is about people who come here legally on temporary visas complaining that the people who come illegaly will get preferential treatment. The people in this article are on our side, folks. Nothing wrong with people who come here legally to work. They’re welcome.

“Only because they have NO IDEA of the sacrifices made by so many, for so many years, to build and maintain the things that this country stands for.”

Well said.

And not to mention our families and friends who gave their lives for our country in WWII so we could continue a better life.

So many, many lives died for nothing considering what is happening today.

Today, we have 535 traitorous crooks in Congress and a traitorous president who are about to destroy our country forever.

We need a leader or leaders. Where are they?

I am comfortable to think that if one or more of these yammering folks who claim they are against giving our country away would call for a march on Washington, I have a feeling it could very well work. Instead, they are sitting on their fat rears sending letters to newspapers and yammering in front of TV talk show cameras saying how much they are against it.

Yammer and action are two very different things.

In 19 months, a lot of these crooks are going to be looking for another job; although, it will be too late for us.

That’s part of the problem; they are already voting! Various groups go out and register them to vote (ACORN, Hermandad Mexicano Nacional, La Raza Unida, et al). Sometimes the illegals get PAID to vote. I have seen it in person.

I was responding to the headline, as it seems to be a common theme. My mistake.

I’ve learned from the best! Post without reading the article.

Congress' new immigration plan was bad news for tens of thousands of poor Mexicans who depend on a U.S. guestworker program for temporary jobs in agriculture and other seasonal work, such as landscaping and construction.

Since the Democrats want dependent citizens and the slavers want illegal workers , plus all the illegal temporary workers , here already, will become legal temporary workers , consequently there isn't much incentive to address additional temporary workers. There will be a demand for additional illegal workers to replace those that will be legalized by this legislation. We don't want to put the "coyotes" out of business.

I love the suggestion of one Freeper who suggested that we bill the Mexican government for $100,000 per each Mexican national illegally in the US. And when they fail to pay which, of course, they will, levy on their oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico until such time as we have recovered that sum. In one blow, we will help defray the welfare costs incurred by the illegals and reduce our dependency on oil produced by terrorist countries.

Who is going to cut their tobacco?

Aside from the fact that this should piss off all of the dem supporters (evil tobacco); cutting off all unskilled and in particular crop-picking labor would provide a possible entry into a new lucrative area for U.S. entrepeneurs. Machinery that harvests crops like tomatoes and even lettuce have been around for a long time, but nobody bothered because of the cheap labor. The technology is there to cleanly and efficiently harvest crops mechanically. This opens up a completely new area of engineering and marketing to someone in this country with the drive to do it.

Oh, wait! I forgot that American companies have been purposely draining (read firing) our intellectual resources in favor of cheaper engineers in India and China for fun and profits so I guess that this really benefits India and China and I suppose the executives of those "american" companies.
