.....like it's EASY FOR THE REST OF US to determine OUR tax liability?
Isn't it 67,000 pages of IRS tax code now?
"Difficulty" has never been an allowable excuse for law abiding U.S. citizens with respect to determining our tax liability and filing our returns.
Oh, if only our nation's capitol would break off and fall into the sea! Our government has become a hateful, stinking pile of corruption.
Criminals have taken over the country.
"WELCOME TO THE REAL AMERICA WHERE CRIMINALS GET TO BE
CELEBRITIES AND CELEBRITIES GET AWAY WITH MURDER."
"TO DIE FOR" Columbia Pictures
That any poor or unfortunate countryman of ours has to go through hoops, hire expensive advocates, wait for years, and then maybe not get these benefits anyway while Jose who is openly breaking the law has our government chasing him to give him benefits is astounding, and disgraceful.
And of course it is the end of Medicaid, which may have been Kennedy's purpose all along.
State Medicaid programs which are barely viable now will be crushed under the weight of thirty million (if not more) new nontaxpaying clients.
Oh well. At least there won't be any gay marriages in Ohio.
That's for sure.
I don't know why they can't use the same tactic they use with law-abiding citizens: "We say this is what you owe, now kill yourself proving you don't. While you're doing that, by the way, the clock is ticking on interest and penalties."
This is complete BS.
.....like it's EASY FOR THE REST OF US to determine OUR tax liability?
Gee, this last year it only took me about 25 hours to prepare the documentation for my tax preparer, then 2 hours at H&R Block, and then about $500 to pay H&R Block to do my taxes.
Don't even get me started about how angry I was about my 2005 taxes, when I got a letter from the IRS telling me that I owed them about $5,000 in taxes, interest, and penalties, because I under-reported my income. It was because THEY entered a $1,300 1099 as $13,000! Add another hour of my time to get that straightened out!
Mark
It all comes together at the top.
In all seriousness, that's a great line.
