"You could legalize rape in this country if you simply called it the Civil Rights Act of 2007 because nobody on Capitol Hill has the guts to vote against anything that claims to be broadening or creating civil rights. It's a code word."

Damn Straight!

Laura Ingraham was saying the same thing today. Her callers were overwhelmingly voting for Duncan Hunter on her quote of the day.

These Repub idiots are sacrificing their political futures and they don’t even seem to realize it.

They will be boiled alive by their own party.

Look how amnesty tipped the balance of power in CA. CA was once one of the most reliable GOP states prior to 1986. Reagan won it twice and Bush 1 carried it in 1988. Thanks to the registration of illegals and others who are not supposed to vote, CA is now one of the most reliable blue states, so is New York.

Texas is next. With this new crackpot bill, Texas will be lost forever and there goes the GOP.

What will kill the GOP is this kind of attitude and the knee-jerk reaction against the need to develop a comprehensive immigration policy. The latest census data, published in the NYTimes Wednesday, shows starkly that the % of Hispanics and other minorities rises with each younger age group. In the youngest age group, they are a majority. Only the over 65s have a majority white population. Right Now!! Whining about the immigration plan doesn’t change the demography. If you really want to see the death knell of the Republican party, ignore the need to expand the tent to include these minority groups. I am ashamed of this ridiculous response. I admire and support Bush on this because he is behaving as an adult, not some spoiled adolescent stamping his foot.

Rush kept driving the point home today that once Bush signs this into law, forget the penalties and the going home stuff, the illegals are NOW LEGAL. End of story.

GWB has always been in the amnesty camp with the liberals. I still cannot fathom why. Low cost labor cannot possibly be as important to U.S. business interests as border security. This is about creating a voting block out of Hispanics while creating a schism in the GOP. If this is a chess match between Dean and Rove, this move definitely goes to Dean.

If Bush was a democratic operative sent to destroy the party he couldn’t have done a better job. Its amazing how badly he has screwed up on the border issue in his presidency.

The GOP should keep in mind how the Republican party got its start.

“If they lose Virginia and lose Florida, it’s all over for the GOP as far as elections go. And being blamed for this immigration bill could cost them both states.”

This is one Virginian solid red voter who will be busy sorting sox on election day 2008.

Rudy and McCain are toast. Even among soaking wet Republicans, this “amnesty first, promises of enforcement later” bill is (justly) political seppuku for any Republican would-be nominee who supports it.

Fred, Duncan, maybe Romney. It’s narrowing.

Rush is right that this bill will kill the GOP. But not for the reason he gives - i.e., that voters will “hold it against” Republicans for supporting amnesty. No, this will kill the GOP because amnesty and more daisy-chain immigration of the families from Mexico and South America will put TENS OF MILLIONS OF NEW DEMOCRATS ON THE VOTING ROLLS. More immigration equals more Democrat voters. Ted Kennedy gets it? Why doesn’t George Bush? (Or does Bush understand - but doesn’t give a flying falafel?)

"The 2008 Revolution has started!"

Hey! When even our own Republican Senatorial "friends" shove something so filled with scoff-law stench right in our faces... You're damn right the resentment will boil right over the top!!!

They've been playing "Dare Base" with conservatives long enough! Now they're way out there over the line and it's time for the big purge!!!

Some body tell me what kind of a Senatorial "process" these yahoo's are following anyway? If they're playing "DEAL, OR NO DEAL," well guess what we should be slamming down on their sticky fingers!!!

We need to get busy here in CA by taking our state and local Party leadership back in conservative hands, immediately and firmly!!!

The GOP is not as important as the country. His rape statement is powerful. Rush, Savage, and the other can’t let up. Savage, who I can’t listen to for too long, has been saying it for years. Borders, Language, Culture. Keep pounding Rush. This is way bigger than a party.

This bill that allows instant citizenship by the bogus paying of a fine is a setup for the kill hit for the Republican Party. Here is how it will be done:

First off, anyone who is willing to break the law coming into this country is willing to commit crimes to pay for the fine. Expect an increase in crime as these lawbreakers steal property and sell drugs to pay for their amnesty.

Next, after the fine is payed, with SB 1348 you are instantly a citizen. This creates an instant voting block guaranteed to vote DemonRAT because these new citizens would also get instantly plugged into the welfare roles. Once you are plugged into the welfare system, you are dependent on the DemonRATs; who use the public trough as a means to purchase the vote.

And the unions would get new dues paying workers. With union dues, the DemonRAT Party gets a monetary shot in the arm with campaign money. There will be no Republican candidate that could outspend them.

And with campaign finance reform, any counter attack, at the most strategic time, has been shut down.

Remember the rallying cry for George the first was "It's the economy stupid".

The rallying cry for George II should be "It's amnesty stupid".
