The controversial immigration bill passed in April by the Senate will do more than legislate illegal immigration it will track the sources of wages and compensation of all Americans even the kid who mows your lawn as well as those workers in the U.S. illegally, the Raleigh Chronicle reported.
The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006, approved by the Senate and headed for debate in the House, makes it illegal to hire anyone for paid wages unless both the employee and the employer fill out new registration requirements, including the employee's work history for the past five years even if the employee has been a U.S. citizen that entire time.
It includes an "employment verification" which would electronically register and track all Americans who do work for compensation.
"It is unlawful for an employer ... to hire, or to recruit or refer for a fee, for employment in the United States an individual unless such employer meets the requirements of subsections (c) and (d)," says the bill referring to the new document rules and "electronic verification" systems.

Another fine contribution to society from Rats and RINOs.
More good news (/sarc)
And a steaming pile of canine squeeze for the average American citizen.
Nothing new here, other than the scale of the screwing we're getting.

This bill must be stopped. This is utter insanity.

RATS have a cure for everything, but the cure is worse than the illness. What they don’t tax to death they crap on.
And the government gets thirty pieces of silver.
What bill are they talking about? Last years bill that didn't become law? Why waste our time about last years bill when we have a new one descending upon us?
Never enforced?
I disagree, this is the first step:
“It is unlawful for an employer ... to hire,”
will be amended in a few years with
“It is also unlawful for an employer ... to fire,”
REF RE this outrage.
and followup screaming to idiot traitorous powers that be.
You are correct. That particular part never will. But you can damn well bet that several years down the road the failure to pay the FICA taxes for the kid you hired to mow your lawn on weekends will come back to bite you in the ass if you run for office as a republican.
The Gov knows everything citizens make now... and we’re against the Gov knowing what illegals are making?
It frequently takes more than one year for a bill to become enacted. This bit of legislation is hot and is currently headed for action in the House.
We need to be especially vigilant about this piece of garbage because legislators frequently "compromise" when people are focused on something else (like another immigration bill).
Sounds like all those Day Labor Sites the cities keep building for illegals will be out of business then. I don’t know what it will do for prostitution though.
No they will go after complying legal businesses who slip up and hire a subcontractor with a EIN, WC Insurance who hires just one of these illegals who falls off a ladder (on purpose) and wants a lifetime of benefits.
The insurance won’t want to pay, so let’s go after whitey and put them all in jail, or better yet, just bankrupt them.
Give it about 40 years and we’ll be like Mexico. A few waiters at the resorts and all the international elitists visiting.
Bleak isn’t it?
There are already laws against employing illegal aliens or aliens without proper work authorization (Green Card, Employment Authorization Card, etc.). If this goes through, I’m not optomistic that this will be a law that will be enforced anymore than the ones we already have.
Are you opposed to employee verification? Or do you think that Tyson should have to verify and the home owner shouldn’t?
Our hand chosen, elected government at work. We ask them to stop illegal immigration and they respond by continuing to allow it, giving them amnesty and taking away more of our freedoms. When America finally wakes up from its slumber we'll rue the day we abolished God and religion from government and the public, paving the way for hedonism, secularism, socialism and facism. It's all around us, here and now, and it continues to grow worse and worse with every passing day. But hey, why should we complain, the economy's doing fine, right?
Anyone surprised by this?
