Too bad Wisconsin doesn't have the death penalty.That's something I've been wondering. Was that a legislative move or a Tommy Thompson thing?

Was that a legislative move or a Tommy Thompson thing? Neither, there was a "botched" hanging in 1851 which resulted in public disgust with the procedure. Wisconsin abolished the death penalty in 1853.
