Surely he will not sign a bill that legalizes immediately the status of 12 to 20 million people who violated our laws in multiple ways. I am sure Bush will veto this one and not go against the majority of his own party. Apparently, you haven't caught the "Bush hails Senate immigration deal" thread yet?

To be mild, a veto sounds unlikely.

My bad. And, in retrospect it was laid pretty thick, too. Disappointment and frustration has clouded my mind, it seems.

Last time I checked, they were minorities specifically because the Always Whining thru a hissy fit last Nov and handed the Congress to the Democrats. You all wanted to "Teach the Republicans a lesson" well you are reaping what you all spent most of last year sowing so don't come crying to those of us who told you how stupid you were being.
So says the Chief Whiner. You can slither back under your rock now. Blackbird.

Anyone who doesnt realize that the drive-by media spent much of the 06 election promoting the Youre not conservative enough! trope to set Republicans against one another will probably fall for the same thing in 08. An interesting claim which flies in the face of everything I knew about the '06 election. Please substantiate. Enlighten me, which MSM outlet was claiming that some Republicans weren't conservative enough?
Or are you alluding to the "fact" that Conservatives can't adhere to our principles without being spoonfed by the "drive by media"?

The RINOs and their supporters want power for no other reason than a simple blind lust for power.
If I had listened to them in the last election I would still be stuck with that piece of crap Joe Schwarz who made it pretty clear that he didn’t care what his constituents wanted.

this po'bucker got. Not a thing he owned was illegal, but he's getting the full court press with our tax dollars anyway.

“It is no coincidence that liberals are pushing this kind of immigration reform at such at time. With the presidential election approaching, they need votes.”
What better way to get us mad in hopes that we will stay home in 08. From what I’m seeing and hearing, it worked.

I am so mad I can spit nickels. If this bill passes, this nation is finished as we know it. I have been a loyal Rep voting a straight ticket every time and not missing an opportunity to vote. I have been a GOP poll watcher. I have contributed money and time, including being a volunteer on Bush's 2nd Inaugural Ball.
Today, I am mailing a letter asking that my membership in the RNC be terminated. What I have a hard time understanding is why the WH continues to poke us with a sharp stick on this issue. Bush is alienating his base and splitting the party just as we are on the runup to one of the most important elections in our lifetime. Hello, President Hillary Clinton.

When our own slips a knife between our ribs, it’s best to just smile and offer no resistance. It’s easier that way.

EVERY schism between Republicans gets reported ad nauseum by the DBM for a very simple reason. They realize there are far more conservatives than liberals in the U.S., and the only way their liberal friends can win is if they split the conservative / Republican bloc.
Luckily for the DBM and the libs, there is no shortage of people dull enough to fall for “divide and conquer” — the oldest trick in the book.

I’m not persuaded by their intent. If I choose to stay home, it will be because there is no worthy conservative candidate. I will not vote for voting sake, nor will I elect a candidate simply because he is “electable” and who is actually a Socialist/Communist anti-American prancing around as a Republican and take part in further eroding our liberties.

But we have a Rep President who will uphold the constitution and the rule of law. Surely he will not sign a bill that legalizes immediately the status of 12 to 20 million people who violated our laws in multiple ways. I am sure Bush will veto this one and not go against the majority of his own party. Thank God we still have a Republican President.
You forgot the sarcasm tag.
