BTW, there are mechanical substitutes around to harvest tomatoes. You don't have to boycott tomatoes.

BTW, folks coming here as Legal Immigrants have to find a sponsor who guarantees their financial responsibilities. Typically the sponsor is an American citizen.

This program for illegals dispenses with the question of financial responsibilities.

What you are seeing is the expansion of the elite oligarchic mentality that predominates in South America. The biggest opponents to progress and modernization have been the oligarchic aristocracies who did not want to lose the ability to exploit the campesinos and cheap labor for their factories.
