President George W. Bush, center, joined by Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, left, and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, right, makes a statement on immigration reform Thursday, May 17, 2007 on the South Lawn of the White House. "I want to thank the members of the Senate who worked hard, said President Bush. "I appreciate the leadership shown on both sides of the aisle. As I reflect upon this important accomplishment, important first step toward a comprehensive immigration bill, it reminds me of how much the Americans appreciate the fact that we can work together -- when we work together they see positive things." Lots of great photos...I do nit agree with Tony Blairs policies but he has been a good friend of the US...he will be missed.
