Did any of the 'immigration warriors' expect anything different when they stayed home from the polls in 2006 and allowed so many Repubs. to lose to a Democrat, when they knew the Democrat party is so hot to trot for amnesty? Did they expect the remaining Repubs. to have any sort of spine on the issue when they figured the voters wouldn't support them anyway?
Suzi I believe you miss the entire point the border issue should have been resolved on Sept. 12 2001 with the border patrol being supplemented by our armed forces on the border. INS should of been instructed to locate all illegals and deport them and if the official is to lazy to do his job you can him!. The Repubs had a chance when they had Congress and the Presidency. They had no interest but to betray the American People. By the way, You need to eliminate staff in DC also. Ravenstar

the border issue should have been resolved on Sept. 12 2001I believe the President had a bit much on his plate at the time. Again, the problem wasn't created since George W. Bush took office, and it won't be resolved before he leaves. It is completely wrong to pin the problem on him, or even this group of GOP lawmakers. Yes, while they were in the majority, they could have done something, but getting rid of the ones who did want to do something about it certainly didn't help matters in any way.
