I think that one covers many of the others. It certainly explains why the GOP is now leaning toward a candidate whose main virtue is talking tough. Giuliani comes across as the leader so conspicuously absent in the formerly GOP Congress and in the White House. The fact that he would lead the country in directions conservatives don't want to go seems irrelevant to his supporters, so great is their eagerness for vision and determination of any stripe.
Having lived in a state where there is no effective competition for the Democrats, I’ve seen the damage they can do. Having at least half of the office holders Repubs would have made it more difficult for the Dems to have their way, even with some of those being not quite as conservative as I might like.
Agreed, but anyone who blames the voters for last year's debacle, and not the politicians who let them down, is the one inviting disaster in 08.
I have no intention of seeing that happen. ANd I don’t believe it will.
You folks keep talking about this invasion across the borders, but I haven't heard of any Mexicans flying planes into buildings, killing thousands, or blowing up embassies, killing hundreds.
Yes, the immigration problem needs to be solved, but I don't now, nor will I ever, equate it with the War on Terror.
“What, since I’m a Republican in an overwhelming Democrat state I don’t have any idea what I’m talking about? Do you have any idea how silly that sounds”?
Conservatives in the GOP are being treated like the Dems treat Blacks. They’ll promise everything under the sun to get us to vote for them and once elected forget who got them there. This immigration thing goes into law and they’ve seen the last time I vote for them. Some one needs to get that picture of Gore gazing down the barrell of his M-16 and photo shop an elephant head onto it.
Ineffectiveness on all of the above, plus the daily Chinese water torture of the lying anti-American media.
No. 19 - All of the above. Plus, we can probably count on a few more. I still won’t vote for a Democrat and I will vote.
LOL. It ain’t worth that. America will be fine in the end.
Well, with one small exception, I think you’ve been a magnificent FReeper/FRiend!!! (I din’t even ping yer old GVgirl name)
LOL
“LOL. It aint worth that. America will be fine in the end.”
Only if Jesus comes back in the next 17 months.
You certainly couldn't prove that by the blustering on this forum, both before, and after the election!

If you can’t see any difference between the Republicans and Democrats, you’re not looking too hard.
It really does not matter. We have to hold our noses one more time, and vote republican in massive numbers. The real battle is not the presidency, or the house or the senate. The real battle that must be won is the supreme court. We got some ancient libs that are barely breathing sitting there, and we have to have conservative judges sitting there. One last time we need the presidency and the senate. Then the purge can begin.
