Anyone can vote for anyone they want to vote for. That being said, anyone who refuses to vote for the eventual republican candidate is assisting Hillary into the White House. If you think that's okay, please refer to 11/2006 and see what the election meant then and now.
Elections have consequences

My only wish would be that the Republicans would give us someone to vote for instead of just having to vote for the lesser of the two evils.
Candidates who inspire the electorate don't have to hope the other side stays home to win. So far I haven't seen a candidate that has the ability to inspire the country.

Better a Dem with an energized opposition than a liberal “Republican” with no opposition.

“Elections have consequences”
No; I respectfully disagree. Ineptitude, moral cowardice, and straying from the base’s core beliefs have consequences. Elections are the results of those consequences.
Please stop blaming the base. Are we better off with democrats? Of course not, but the average voter saw republicans who wanted to be dem lite. They saw Mark Foley. The system worked exactly as planned. The slugs were sent packing. The trouble is that there is no viable THIRD choice.
The republican party needs to take a long hard look at itself. November, as sickening as it was should have acted as a clarion call. Too bad that republicans seem to be stone deaf. I don’t want to think about ‘08 if this continues.

You are absolutely right. Rudy should drop out for the sake of the party.
