Now, hopefully I won’t get beat up to bad for saying this, but I’m at the point where I’d support a filibuster if that’s the only way to stop a terrible bill.

“support a filibuster if that’s the only way to stop a terrible bill.”

Uh, yeah. That’s a no-brainer, isn’t it?

This is a bill negotiated between both parties. There's no way there will be 41 Senators to vote against cloture.

Filibusters can be an appropriate tool.

Just not for Court nominees, who deserve an up or down vote, according to long-standing Senate Rules.

Why would anyone beat you up for saying that? Filibusters are intended EXACTLY for such bad bills.

Hmmm... if a few Republicans do attempt to mount a filibuster against the amnesty bill, and if it looks like it's going to "hold" .... might the 'rats try to use some kind of "nuclear option" this time, themselves, to break the filibuster and force the bill through?

Food for thought.
