Your analysis is shallow - ‘our government can do no right’ so it better do nothing. Well, we were doing nothing before World War I and II and got some very unfortunate results from that. But go ahead and embrace Islam, that will certainly end it.
Pat Buchanon recommended and for some reason I read, although I’m not Buchanon fan at all, a book called ‘the illusion of victory’, and it purports that we are all worse off for going into world war I and that we had no business going over there. I wasn’t a die hard convert after reading it, although I respected the mans opinion, but recently I’ve been reconsidering, it actually makes a lot of sense. You say ‘how can we do nothing’? Well, what if doing nothing yields the best result?
The point is these are not ‘wacked out’ theories, but carefullly constructed opinions held by many prominent persons.
