every Colorado legislator who thinks this provides a stable family should consent to be “adopted” (honorarily) by a homosexual couple.

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter ran as a devout Roman Catholic.

Another stealth Marxist.

claiming the law would “strengthen families and provide children with as stable an environment as possible,”

George Orwell is smiling, but it's a grim smile.

Possible violation of the State Constitution.

Article IX

Section 15. School districts board of education. The general assembly shall, by law, provide for organization of school districts of convenient size, in each of which shall be established a board of education, to consist of three or more directors to be elected by the qualified electors of the district. Said directors shall have control of instruction in the public schools of their respective districts.

This law appears to violate the last sentence as it removes from the directors the control of the instruction.

Indeed it does. The sad thing is, this guy claims to be Catholic. As a Catholic, I am sick of people who trample the teachings of the Church assuming that title. He went against the Church three times by requiring Catholic hosptials to provide contraception and now forcing schools to teach contraceptive methods and permitting homosexuals to have innocent children. These politicians need to be excommunicated if they won’t refrain from Communion themselves!

Something tells me that this insidious law not only “permits” homosexual adoption, but holds it on par with traditional heterosexual adoption. In other words, a married, stable man and woman could be given NO preference over two homosexuals in vying for an adoptable kid. If you don’t think so, just wait until a homo couple is denied an adoption over a normal couple - the lawsuits will be dizzying. Truly tragic!

Government making it easier for aberrants to get sex slaves.

At one time, children were a treasure to be guarded and defended to the death, now they are party favors to be passed around and exploited by elected officials to buy votes.

Filthy bastards.

Beyond that, it's incredible that we have a Governor in a major state in this country who would appear to not know how babies are made.

Is it possible he brew up under the regime of a sex-ed program that put condoms on cucumbers or something?

Have that badboy take a course in biology or something, or visit a horsefarm.

It's simply not rational to have folks in positions of trust who don't know that you you don't just have to have sex all the time ~

Who elected this putz?

The text of the law about Sex Ed.

>>(3) Therefore, the general assembly hereby declares that the objective of this act is to reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, and abortion among teenagers by ensuring that school districts and teen pregnancy prevention programs that offer instruction and information concerning human sexuality provide teenagers the science-based information they need to make responsible
and healthy decisions, with a primary emphasis on abstaining from sexual activity. For teenagers who become sexually active, school districts and teen pregnancy prevention programs that offer instruction concerning human sexuality shall both encourage such teenagers to return to
abstinence and teach the effective use of condoms or other means of contraception.<<

So the emphasis must be on abstinence but with science based, medically accurate information on disease and contraception.

I suspect I’m going to be in the minority here, but I do not disagree with this.

Colorado Democrats are extreme California style leftists - and Governor Bill Ritter is no pro life moderate. He's a bona-fide CINO.

The slippery slope continues.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Christians really must begin to fight back. How? Answer: Spiritually!

1) Christian churches must focus firmly on repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. Just as in an airplane, the flight attendant says, “Put on your OWN oxygen mask first, then help others.” Christians must focus on become strong in Christ, first.

2) Our children are a biggest and most important mission field. Yet, 70% to 80% of Christian children attending government school are **not** Christian when they leave. 12 years of Liberal/Leninist preaching of Secular Humanism wins. When are Christians going to wake up and realize that their precious little child’s grain of “salt and light” is being diluted by a tsunami of atheistic proselyting.

2) Christians **MUST** remove their children from government schools! They **must** begin to widely adopt homeschooling, and open free schools for those who can’t. They should welcome non-believers into these schools as much as they are able.

3) Christians must ban together to elect representatives who will CLOSE government school cesspools DOWN!

4) If Christian **really** want to get even, then preach the gospel. Do as Mormons do. Expect members to tithe ( rich and poor). Expect that your youth and retire couples will serve a 2 year mission in the U.S. at their own expense to all both rich and poor.

Finally, to those government school defenders who have tender sensibilities. I am NOT **personally** insulting you. Because I am making **general** statements about the condition of our government schools does NOT mean that I am **personally** insulting you because you think they are wonderful and send your children to them. So..please,,,do not ping the moderators complaining that your feelings are hurt and you feel insulted.

Ritter ran as a pro-life candidate in last fall’s election.

He started out pro-life, but was harangued by party leadership into a de facto pro-choice stand before the primaries, as I recall.
