WBC to picket the funeral of Rev. Jerry Falwell - at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia - in religious protest and warning: "God is not mocked!,, Gal. 6:7. God Hates Fags! & Fag-Enablers! Ergo, God hates Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, and all such Arminian heretic preachers - from fundamentalist evangelicals to openly gay Episcopalians and pedophile Catholics - all of whom have created the Satanic Sodomite Zeitgeist wherein America has irreversibly gone the way of Sodom. There is little doubt that Falwell split Hell wide open the instant he died. The evidence is compelling, overwhelming, and irrefragable. To wit:
1. Falwell was a true Calvinistic Baptist when he was a young preacher in Springfield, Missouri; and sold his soul to Free-Willism (Arminianism) for lucre.
2. Falwell bitterly and viciously attacked WBC because of WBCs faithful Bible preaching - thereby committing the unpardonable sin - otherwise known as the sin gainst the Holy Ghost.
3. Falwell warmly praised Christ-rejecting Jews, pedophile-condoning Catholics, money-grubbing compromisers, practicing fags like Mel White, and backsliders like Billy Graham and Robert Schuler, Etc. All for lucre - making him guilty of their sins.
People have followed the money. As a Baptist church, Westboro is tax exempt. The family has a law practice, Phelps Chartered, that funds part of it. They've received settlements in a number of lawsuits as well that fund the rest. They're pretty self-sufficient.
does anyone know how to search DU’s website for old articles/posts? I thought it would be interesting to see their reaction when Sadam died. Who did they hate worse, Falwell or Sadam? I’m betting all things American
They will not be able to. It is going to be a private ceremony and none of the details have been released.
Liberty University is also a Private Campus. I know that they have a Campus Police Department. I hope that they would keep them off Campus.
My kid brother goes there. Earlier in the year Shaq was on campus for some event with the local police. I think he could take care of Phelps
He was too busy trying to expose the Planned Parenthood
pedophile protection program.
Attacking Phelps is the ‘unpardonable sin’?
This guy is seriously messed up.
Of course he was.
That must be the Rat’s Iron Curtain. And they’re the open minded party?
He should be compost.
“... and while Phelps’s disrupters were shaking hands with Falwell’s enablers, they were all run over by the hearse.”
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:36-40)”
Actually it's on Tuesday, at the church he founded and pastored, with overflow feeds to the school's football stadium and basketball arena. That's a total capacity of somewhere near 40,000 people if they were to fill them all. Not exactly private. The interment will be private though. As another poster mentioned, the campus is privately owned; the protestors will have to stay off campus. Hopefully they'll all be run over by the hearse.
Mental illness is a terrible thing.
Broken clock...
CHECK OUT WHAT I FOUND, and never a word of this is posted by the “mainstream” media:
...In fact, it appears that Westboro has created not just an incredibly vulgar and non-Christlike approach to homosexuality, but that it’s working on a new religion altogether, complete with new scriptures.
Members of WBC generally avoid the name “Christian” when referring to themselves, preferring the mysterious term “Tachmonite.” This apparently refers to a servant of King David’s, but I’m not sure of the derivation or the intention.
The Tachmonites believe Phelps is “the last prophet,” with the power to determine who will be damned and who will be saved. They themselves, as followers of Phelps, also have the power to condemn souls to hell. Most people are destined for hell, but “Good Samaritans” who help the Tachmonites (for example, police officers who prevent counter-protesters from assaulting them) may be offered an indeterminate “reward” for their good conduct. Apparently “sola fide” is not part of the Tachmonites’ creed.
The new scriptures consist of the group’s own writings, which are divided into two categories: “delectable epics” and “letters to heretics.”
The “delectable epics” (the term is the group’s) are based loosely on Acts in the New Testament. The epics detail the Tachmonites’ various protests against homosexuals, President Bush, Elton John concerts, and the military and portray the Tachmonites alternately as invincible “super heroes” and defenseless victims of brutal rage. Some of the epics are in prose, and some in poetry.
If he were assaulted good enough, he would have no further use for courts.
