I am most troubled by the fact that so many do not realize this is a done deal

It is very troubling. My wife said it was done the moment Bush started referring to them as "guest workers" a few years ago. His fairly recent comments about changing the laws so that they were no longer criminal sealed the deal.

1)President Bush has been hoodwinked by a cabal of pro-illegal advisors. He chooses his advisors. If he is hoodwinked by anyone then he's not too bright. I don't get hoodwinked, you don't get hoodwinked. He is the POTUS, he damn well needs to be on top of critical issues, of which immigration is one. "Too busy with Naitonal Security"? Immigration is national security. 9/11 was done by illegals. Ft. DIX was done by illegals.

Face it he's a failure on this issue, and many other things. He is selling the base down the river with this move.

This ‘deal’ (enema to the taxpayers) is not going to stop illegal immigration. More and more will continue to pour across our unprotected borders.

If this passes (it will), they know that if they sneak in and then stay low and do work off the books, that a Republican President will come along and give them amnesty.

I've been feeling for a long time that the GOP is selling us out and that they don't give a damn about our national security, and this is just the final straw.

Okay, like you, I'm very concerned about the wording of this Bill. It's obviously a disaster waiting to happen, but this is not our CINC's fault.

Pardon my language, but BULLSHIT! Bush has been pro-open borders since he was in Texas. As Governor he was big on keeping very open relations with Mexico. As President, after 9/11, he made it a pain in the butt for your mother or mine to take a three hour flight, but left the borders wide open. As President, he did nothing about the borders until volunteer Americans began trying to do something to help the Border Patrol. Even then he spit on them and called them "vigilantes".

Jorge Bush has made it clear time and again that making these people citizens is one of his goals.

If Bush hadn't been so encouraging all these years, Congress would not be doing this. They wouldn't have the votes to override a veto.

What form would the civil disobedience take? We have not proven to be that effective in organizing big marches. That seems to be a leftist speciality. And, I think marches are easily ignored. You get your one day on C-SPAN and a mention in the news the next day.

Our protest has to be as serious as this issue is and continue. The minutemen have been an effective protest organization. They thought outside of the box. Any ideas?
