When visiting Duncan Hunter’s website today, you’ll notice that prior to going to the main site there is a screen with a quote about Jerry Falwell. If you look at the title of that page in your browser’s menu bar it says:
Chuck Hagel Official Web Site - watch latest news on Hagel.tv please contribute,…
The title bar from Chuck Hagel’s official site (hagel.tv) says the exact same thing as the vandalized title on Hunter’s site (including punctuation):
Chuck Hagel Official Web Site - watch latest news on Hagel.tv please contribute,…

Whoever it is, there is no doubt that Duncan Hunter is the candidate feared most by the Demonrats and even the GOP is attempting to silence him. There is no excuse when Ron Paul and the others get allotted more time and even RESPECT than Duncan Hunter. Hopefully they are able to find out who sabotaged his site.
It has to rile someone like Hagel(and McCain) that Duncan Hunter also happens to be a Vietnam combat vet. Hagel wouldn’t be happy that Hunter stands in contrast to his attempts to have us lose the war.
Krauthammer can go to hell. The entire conservative movement can go to hell for the way they are treating Hunter. Hunter needs to “drop out of the race”?! All credibility is gone as far as I’m concerned and if they succeed in continuing to treat him like this and get the most qualified man out of this race early, I’m done with politics for good. I’ve been astounded at the way Duncan Hunter has been treated by people who should have a little more respect and supposedly stand for conservatism as they attempt to sell us on the Rudys and Romneys and try to give us the same old, same old with Fred Thompson who will prove to be a dull, drab candidate who is going to not live up to the hype.
>Hagel wouldn’t be happy that Hunter stands in contrast to his attempts to have us lose the war.<
Do you think we should be worried about Hagel? (Not) And I’m certainly not worried about McPain either.
Clearly. I mean, why would they alter the tribute to Falwell, when instead they could put a plug for Hagel in the title tag where almost no one will notice?

Trying to devine the intent of the insane is futile.
Applying common sense instead of paranoia isn't.

Uh...okay. No argument here as far as it goes.
The following is the source code of the Hunter splash page, in its entirety.
<html> <head> <title>The Official Site of Duncan Hunter for US President in 2008</title> </head> <body bgcolor="#ffffff"> <center> <a href="index.asp"><img src="images/splash.new.gif" width="470" height="374" border="0"></a> </center> </body> </html>
That's it. That's the whole page. I've used more sophisticated code in FR posts.
To conclude that someone intentionally tampered with that page from the outside, but could only manage to change the title, you'd have to conclude that someone who had enough skillz to crack into the server suddenly became a gibbering idiot when confronted with the simplest HTML code EVER.
That's like believing that someone got past the angry Doberman, the burglar alarm, the lasers, and the sharks with frickin' lasers on their heads, and then didn't steal the jewels because he couldn't figure out how to open an unlocked dresser drawer.
sorry. I should have included you as a recipient on #49.
Thanks. Interesting, but way out of my league as far as ‘code’ is concerned. I’ll take your word for it.
